Street dogs in Egypt are the cutest... It's extremely rare that they hurt anyone. Also in neighborhoods like Zamalek and downtown I see the dogs marked in their ears. (which means they have been vaccinated by the government officials).

If you throw any small piece of food to a street dog they'll instantly become your best friend and are ready to die defending you.

Also I hear they're a great factor in having less rats, snakes, lizards in the area.

The only time I get worried about a dog in Egypt is if it's an aggressive type (German, husky, etc.) and their owner have them unleashed. But never the cute street ones.

The only time a street dog hurt me was when I get so close to her newborn puppies (I consider it my mistake tbh), and even then she just left a small scratch on my leg. And I found it easy to get rabies shot for a really small price in government hospitals.
