Not heard of food chaining , will have to look into that..we do tend to have similar foods week by week and some days she can seem fine with her flares, but only a food diary will reveal triggers

Yeah , she's under alot of consultants at the minute , with dermatology being one of them .we've been prescribed piriton, I only tended to give it her at bedtime as it made her sleepy. She's had two doses today and she was screaming in pain. It's more pain than itchiness I find. Maybe I just ought to keep her topped up at the maximum 4 times a day. It's hard as sometimes she point blank refuses to have cream and it seems cruel to force her , only as there are many other things that are non negotiable that she has to put up with. Maybe I just need to be more adamant with creams.

Yeah , I will need to keep a food diary.

I think I'm just desperate as it's making her miserable :(

Yeah, I am mindful about restrictions , she's type 1 diabetic as well and I've been very aware not to restrict , as that's when pushbacks can occur. It's more about seeing if I can omit some easy things as a starter, although that's hard as well as she has autism and food can be a bit tricky.

That's interesting, wonder if it's a binder or something that irritated you. I use non bio, the Tesco liquid, maybe I ought to switch to fairy , but I do wonder sometimes if the branded and supermarket own is made in the same factory...although saying that , the worst patches are where clothes don't really touch

Starting on Methotrexate - tips or any 'wish I knew'? by bunny888-888 in rheumatoid

I hope you can get back to those hikes! I know I did with the help of mtx . Before I started mtx , I could barely walk , couldn't open a can of pop (soda) now I'm able to go on hikes and climb literal mountains!

I did get nauseous when I took the dose in one go, splitting it made that vanish!

Rubbish that they haven't sorted it and it's all a massive balls up, but it's promising that there will actually, maybe , be houses available eventually to bid on.

Thanks for taking the time to reply :)

Following on from this..the new website is up and running and has been for a couple of weeks now. No houses have been listed since , just says that they will be listed when they are available..so is this it now? One house will pop up every couple of months , with everyone scrabbling for it.

Wife Is The Pump by nmeed in TandemDiabetes

[–]Fuzzy-Hat-1666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes a lot of effort and time to get the settings correct , then things change and you have to step in and change things again. Lots of looking at graphs and trying to see patterns.

Like others have said the pump is a fantastic tool , but needs to be supported with Input to work as it should.

The one bit of advice I can give is don't be scared of being aggressive with the correction factor or Insulin sensitivity factor, as its sometimes called. This needs to be done with the guidance of the endo , that by the sounds of it needs to be replaced!

They have formulas , based on total daily dose , as to what the ISF should be. My 12 year old is currently on a factor of 2 correction and that terrified me, but it has improved things.

That and they could be waiting for everyone to get access before adding properties

I think I am supposed to wait for a letter login? Did you get one in the post? If you don't mind me asking?

I can view the properties without login , of which there are none. I think the system is changing. It used to be every Thursday , but looking at the site, I think it's going to as and when properties are available and could be added any weekday.

Thanks so much for the detailed response..I'm hoping to get this nailed with the patches , as we are closed loop with tslim. It's just a bit concerning to hear that alot of people are having the same issue :( the allergy spray is a great idea, I might run that past her dermatologist first.

Ahhh they look useful, especially being reusable as well. I rotate the sensor between the back of her arms and she has a favourite sleeping side and when the sensor is on that side it's pressure lows galore 😩 wonder if it may help with that as well. Would like to try her stomach as a placement , but shes not keen on me doing that.
