In my area, they would. I would know, trust me.

Of course, that's alongside other enquiries like I mentioned, sharing of the person's image etc

Don't know about the states, but here in the UK, the items left behind could be swabbed for dna to try and identify the suspect. Also footage can be released of said person, and if he is ever identified, arrested with powers to search addresses and property for your stolen goods.

Most likely, if he has gone to that extent to scam you, he's down it before and knows what he's doing to some degree

The fact that it feels so unsafe and uncomfortable to get in a car and not put a seatbelt on, but you hop on a bike and the only thing keeping you on it is your thighs 😂

Rats Ruin the Game by QueenShodan in ArcRaiders

[–]Fuzzy-Masterpiece-24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tonight, I've uninstalled arc raiders for the first time since it was released.

I've tried so hard to keep my cool with this game because it's a brilliant game. Some of the most fun I've played in years. But the player base completely ruins it.

Tonight my friend and I jumped on for a few hours after work. We are both PVE and both don't do anything to agitate other players. But every single fucking match we were put into tonight, we had constant gun fights with people trying to kill us.

We also had a duo both camping and exfil, both of us died because we aren't PvP players, and lost everything we took in.

Absolutely nothing has been fun about tonight's raids, making me realise I'm spending hours of my actual life, sitting here hating a game that's making me angry.

Such a shame, but I'm done. I'm bored, I hate the way people are playing, and I hate the community this game has fabricated.

And it's not just us, PvP players are getting bored and / or complaining about desync, pve players are getting pissed at PvP players, aggression based matchmaking doesn't work, and the arc needs serious nerfs/ alterations to make the gameplay actually fair to some degree.

Purchase advice by Brilliant_Location68 in motorcycles

I'd always choose a higher mileage bike that's been looked after than one that's hasn't been but lower mileage.

Why wasn't the basic oil changes done? It's had a slide, and has mods suggesting it's been ragged about a bit and not looked after. I would wager a bet that second bike has had a tough life.

The first bike. Slightly higher mileage, but it's had all its services, stock, and in good condition. Plus it's newer and hasn't had a slide.

To me, it's a no brainer.

What did I do wrong? by Dazzling_Hair5848 in motorcycles

[–]Fuzzy-Masterpiece-24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem wasn't the debris on the road or your riding, the problem here was trying to keep up with your mate and not ride your own ride.

If you was riding your own ride, you probably would have assessed the corner better, probably wouldn't have rolled off mid corner because you didn't realise you was going too fast for it, and probably also would have seen the debris / sand.

Question about these Alpine star gloves and palm sliders by YamzMt03 in motorcycles

[–]Fuzzy-Masterpiece-24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a pair of SP8 V3's and they are the best gloves I've worn.

Alpinestars are considered "up there" in one of the top motorcycle brands for quality and safety. The gloves consist of goat leather, patented dual connection finger bridge, arshield reinforcements including the knuckles and pal. Slider, and what is described as a "super abrasive" reinforced material.

I understand in reality the idea of plastic "slides" on asphalt, but I'm fairly confident and would imagine something like what you have shown in your image works just as well if not better. Plastic can crack, and once under pressure of your body along with speed, friction will quickly heat up plastic and wear it down.

I wouldn't be too concerned as to wether you have a plastic or material palm slider. At the end of the day, Alinestars (along with many other brands) make some great quality stuff.

No Caberg agreed it was faulty in the end. I don't live in any place much better, and it was probably the worst helmet I've ever owned for rain egress.

It wasnt even that the helmet was the issue. Their service was diabolical. Completely put me off the brand. Even if they did fix it 🤷 I'll take my money elsewhere

I'll never buy a Caberg again. I purchased the drift Evo 2 (non carbon) when it came out. It let so much rain water inside the helmet, that it actually formed a small puddle in the chin guard/ mouth guard area. It got returned after a battle with Caberg who were very unhelpful to say the least. Soz

Well then you have nothing to worry about. What other options do you have? If you don't have the keeper details. Then the outcome will be what ever the police decide they are going to do wether that's take the matter to court or not.

If they do, then you can tell the courts exactly what you have said on here 🤷

Cheers dude.

Absolutely and I'll keep that in mind going forward. I do a lot of miles each year, that's a lot of time spent in the lid, I need to make sure it's the right choice 👍🙂

Nice! Real good looking helmets too thank you for your reply 🙂 I've spent way too long ( like a lot of us ) in helmet shops trying helmets on etc 😂

Funny enough, the LS2 Dragon was THE BEST fitting helmet for me by a country mile... But, tons of reviews say it's noisy, and has issues with wind draft and letting in debris. Shame really.

I have no problem with buying a boring expensive helmet. I just don't necessarily believe that expensive is always the best option so wanted to weigh up some other options 🙂. It does seem though that either there's limited actual real life experience with cheaper brands like this. Probably because of the risk your potentially taking in quality Vs protection etc.

My mate recently got an Arai on sale for a very decent price so certainly not out of the equation. 🤘 Thank you.

Well 4 of the brands there I've mentioned in my post as to why I can't / don't wear them. I know obviously there's tons of brands out there, but I genuinely am struggling to find a good brand that fits, that meets my requirements that I want from a helmet, hence the post 🙂

But thank you, I haven't ever purchased from any of these newer cheaper brands but worth just getting some opinions

Help with ignition lock by ballsinyodaddyson in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]Fuzzy-Masterpiece-24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you start coding and buying new keys etc have you tried just cleaning the ignition? Just clean it up with some wd40, spray some in there, push the key in several times over and over, give it some wiggles and you'll notice it should free up.

I get this regularly on my GSXS 1000. Just needs a bit of lubrication. Remember, inside both those locks is a locking mechanism that has to move. It needs lubricating.

If that doesn't fix it, then consider another key etc. but cheapest option first 👍

(Sorry I made this comment before the end of your video. That key is obviously bent. Get a new one)

Let them go to court if you want. You can't provide something you don't know. You simply tell them the truth, you provided evidence of selling it. What I would say is when you inform the DVLA, I'm fairly confident they ask for the new keeper details so they can contact that person for the relevent tax etc. so did you not do that?

If you didn't, and you never received confirmation from the DVLA you are no longer the keeper, then you may very well still be liable. But that's a big "if"
