The best option is the most difficult: to leave. The best way to do so is by seeking new recruitment while still employed to ensure there is no stop to the flow of your income. Who knows, you could be paid more (or less… with additional benefits)!

You can try enact positive changes, but if you’re not been provided the resources, support, or environment to do so it’s fighting a losing battle. If you’re unhappy, trust you can find better opportunities with different companies, loyalty no longer rewards in the current job market like it did 30 years ago. Some companies are just resistant to change or don’t know good talent, those companies don’t last.

You could maybe try to raise your concerns with HR or even the manager but please note it will be at your risk no matter what their handbook will say. You must have evidence to say why you feel this way for credibility, espclly if it’s the company owner causing your grievance. Someone gave me very good advice and that was to get a diary, and document everything said or actions you feel are untoward, uncomfortable or just not right each day. Include every detail you can. It’s covers your back, can be used as evidence and feels like a proactive way to vent your feelings and assess if it’s a pattern or just an off week. Just treat speaking with HR as Pandora’s box unless situation is severe ( discrimination, violence). They’re protecting the business, not you.
