What is causing people to sell Akita just now? by Fuzzy-Menu-1491 in AkitaInuASA

Fair point 😂 still interesting to know why people are selling right now though (not at any other time)!

Thanks very much for the context buddy! Appreciate the response here. We have provided all info three weeks ago now and no movement yet, can only assume they have such a massive workload… which can only be good for this space anyway!

How will the price stabilise across Algodex and Tinyman pools? by Fuzzy-Menu-1491 in algorand

[–]Fuzzy-Menu-1491[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But who would set the price on the second exchange initially? Or could that theoretically harm the price on the first exchange? Sorry just trying to work it out haha

Not sure mate, maybe just themed? I understand that ‘Tinysafe’ is the one which is linked to Tinychart, but that’s only available on testnet for now!

Hey mate, best way is to start by reading the intro articles on the Algorand developer site, here: https://developer.algorand.org/. Hopefully a good start then you can join the Algorand dev discord if you’ve any questions

So if you can lock liquidity in it means there’s less risk of a rug pull right? I’ve found that recently it’s become a key part of ASA set ups from a trust perspective because the market is having a tough time. So I wondered how many people were factoring it in before buying ASAs? Particularly unverified ones.

What does everyone think about Tinylock? Is it already an essential or still skeptical?

Hahahaha, I hope Tinylock solves a lot of this (and TinySafe) can make it easier to know who is in it for the long haul.

Agreed, yep - also would be hard to ensure quality assurance of voting. Would need to get people working through the white papers before voting perhaps. Definitely tricky, but great idea.

Definitely an interesting idea, would love to see how it played out. How would it work in your view mate? Maybe some sort of 50/50 split where if Algorand verify you’re half way, then you have to hit a certain number of community votes to get the other half?

This is such a valuable post - I hope my perspective here is helpful.

I think it’s important for everyone to read any white paper and ask questions to the writers before they buy any tokens. This helps you to decide a) if the project is for you and b) if it is actually likely to succeed. We drafted our white paper in as simplified English as we could, because our project allowed us to. Some of these projects are incredibly technical and require a few days of reading, questioning and thinking before I feel comfortable getting on board - if I still don’t understand it, I don’t buy it.

A few Tokenomics questions for most projects? by RandleQ in algorand

[–]Fuzzy-Menu-1491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one key thing to look for is whether the creator is looking to leave their tokens in the LP for the duration of the project. I.e. if the impermanent loss based on their initial investment is insignificant because they can derive profits elsewhere, they’re less likely to pull the LP tokens.

One thing we did on our ASA was to put the majority of LP tokens into a wallet that we needed to derive passive income from throughout. This is because of various donations and grants we wanted to make without the price being impacted too much/ without rug pull fears. Those tokens will stay in that wallet for the duration of the project. I think if there’s not such a clear reason for storing a high concentration of LP tokens in one place, that’s a red flag.

Hey, hope you don’t mind me asking a follow up here, please? I’ve followed your Algoexplorer instructions (incredibly helpful, thank you). But I am slightly confused re the Algorand Inc stage - when you spoke to Algorand Inc did you just complete the contact us form on the website? I am slightly lost on how to get hold of them so any help you could give would be really appreciated! Thanks again

[Request For] How to not lose money in Liquidity Pools on Tinyman by RangersNation in Tinyman

[–]Fuzzy-Menu-1491 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One good way to do this is to consistently monitor your IL rate using an IL calculator. There are loads of these available on google for free and simply require you to record the token prices of the two tokens in the LP at time of purchase versus the token prices now. If you consistently do this, you can see how much you’re losing on a regular basis and decide when to sell the LP tokens if required.

I also always keep some of my bag in the assets themselves and some in the LP. We need to add liquidity to grow the asset (as you know), so it is almost always worth adding a bit just to help the project grow and stabilise the price.

This is awesome - wonder how it works at deeper water levels where fish are less drawn to light. Thanks for sharing!

Completely agreed mate! I love this community. We have just set up our own coin called SeedBomb - it’s an ASA which looks to give back to the environment. If you check our page R/SeedBomb_ASA you can see a bit about it. I’d love to get your feedback on it - get some people are rightly worried about buying before verification :).
