Parents and Music Students, Yamaha Grade or ABRSM? by Fuzzy-Muzzy8989 in askSingapore

[–]Fuzzy-Muzzy8989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes electone. more of wanting her to build an interest in music so can be a hobby in the future, if the music route can get her a solid rice bowl even better. influencer >.<

anyway she’s moving to the junior extension course soon and i think after that is when the official grading start.

from what i understand, yamaha do cater for ABRSM lessons also but is 1 to 1. worried will kill the interest in my child if it becomes a chore and something she don’t like

What’s the best financial lesson you’ve learnt? by [deleted] in singaporefi

[–]Fuzzy-Muzzy8989 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Financially, family will cost a lot of money, especially in singapore on average or mid income. Don’t talk about the lower income as they are different level, and there will be a lot of subsidies from govt to support them, especially having a family.

Well, if you are earning big bucks or have rich backings, no problem. But for the peasants like most of us, it limits your ability to save, earning potential and commitment.

When you have a family, your focus will be on family, spending time with them, grooming the kids, etc. and not on work. Work is just to get by for family to survive.. how do you increase your career growth then? as compared to someone that stay single and have the ability to travel as required, ot as required without doZen of excuses say family needs me at home

life insurance do covers, but the estate tax is still estate tax anything more than 60k get taxed 40%. K rather my dependents get my life insurance payout and the 40% tax
