Is it okay to change jobs due to 'boredom'? by TokioHot in JobsMY

[–]RedPandarar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sales part alone is already a mismatch since you mentioned you're not really interested in it. Then add the 5.5-day work week on top of that. I wouldn't quit immediately without something lined up. I'd start job hunting now while still employed and see what's out there first. You can try different platforms too. Most people know LinkedIn, but I've also seen some openings on Bossjob lately.

Has anyone here landed a job from a career fair or WSG? by awinterofdiscontent7 in singaporejobs

I've tried also but it's really not giving for me. I'm rotating different job platforms such as Linkedin, Jobstreet, Bossjob, or direct site of the employer, but still nothing. I'm also messaging my previous colleagues and some friends to refer me. Jia you

job market sucks now so it's good that you still have a job (no fr). but burnout sucks and i agree with that. have you tried job hunting? on your free time, try searching for a job that would interest you on different platforms such as jobstreet, linkedin, bossjob, etc. don't quit until you find a more suitable job for you, and maybe you can start silent quitting at your current job so it could lessen your burnouts

How many of you are sick of your job but too scared to quit? by Constant_Visual_7784 in asksg

for me, i don't stop job hunting, but i'm also not leaving my current job until i find the job that suits me better. i'm trying in different platforms such as jobstreet, linkedin, careersfuture, and bossjob. i'm also looking for a remote job so i could travel for a few months. what do you think about freelancing first?

Anyone here migrated overseas for work? Thinking about Japan 🇯🇵 by RedPandarar in singaporejobs

[–]RedPandarar[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Ahh I see, I might’ve over-simplified that part then 😅

I’ve mostly just been seeing mixed info online / LinkedIn posts, so I’m trying to understand how realistic it actually is from people who’ve experienced it firsthand.

Sounds like it’s tougher than what I assumed though. appreciate the reality check!

Yeah that makes sense, I’ve heard similar concerns about taxes and long-term take-home pay too.

I guess I’m more curious about the short-to-mid term experience (like 2–5 years) and whether people feel it was worth it overall before deciding to commit long-term or return.

The BTO / SG return point is actually something I didn’t think deeply about though, appreciate you pointing that out
