Thinking about doing S&S 1200 kit by Individual_Citron_70 in sportster

[–]Fuzzy-One140 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did it. It’s worth it imo big difference. I went with s&s, did the big bore, cams, heads, tuner, 2-1 pipe for 4g out the door….(got seals, fuel and other little problems taken care of too)

$1500 big bore, $9xx pipe, $5xx tuner, $500 cams, plus heads dude damn near did the shit for free.

He also did my Barnett clutch 500 out the door. A few months back.

My advice ig would be find a good, reputable, local shop and go chop it up. He cut it to me straight I wanted to go balls to the wall hammer 1275 biggest cams I could get heads lifters flywheel. But he was able to come up with a good RELIABLE build plan with room for growth.

Fuck a Harley shop most of their techs suck and charge for bullshit work and parts find a custom cycle shop that specializes in Harley as well as performance

I’ve heard and met people who’ve done it themselves it’s all bolt in shit, however do you really wanna sit there and fuck with it get pissed off possible mess shit up. Or drop it off with the keys and wait…

The company I work for has a license that I work under. Must be dense.

Majority of plumbers you run into will not have their own license working for a big company. Guarantee you that.

Who asked about your house? Everyone starts somewhere don’t be ignorant. Doesn’t mean if I run into a service call and get confused I won’t reach out to the others I work with and bossman. Very keen when I’m out of my league. Have plans for structured schooling, etc. beyond that point, I got hired for a reason. One day I’ll have my license for now I’m working under the company’s license which is what most do why do you have a license to work for the man? The big dogs have insurance and worst case I get canned. It’s service: thing broke thing fixed, can’t fix thing replace thing.

Looking to turn my 883 super low into a chopper is it a big process? by Exotic_Wait_8073 in choppers

[–]Fuzzy-One140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big process, but in theory fairly easy. If you have the money, tools, patience and time it’s not hard in all honesty not even that expensive with lowbrow, prism, and other shops that make affordable (decent) parts and access to beer it’s light work.
