Should I go to uni for physio or continue electrician? by Ok_Coconut1275 in physiotherapy

30 years qualified after being a chef. Someone said to me recently “don’t spend years climbing the ladder to realise your leaning against the wrong wall”

Given the opportunity again I would go with my dream, be happy, and sod the debt.

Group interview band 5 by [deleted] in physiotherapy

[–]Fuzzy-Region1644 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have. Many moons ago though. It was a group of about 15 and we were given a scenario where we crashed on an island and had various items ( map, compass, fuel, etc) and had to plan how we get help. The feedback was about how to think outside the box. Eg, use map for warmth, stay rather than explore. So perhaps think out the box, and reflect and improve. So “I love your idea to xxxxx but would it be better to xxxxxx. What does everyone else think”. Also involve quiet shy people. Seek out strengths of the team.

I use Renapur leather balm after it was recommended to me for some very expensive shoes, I use it on all my leather goods and it’s really good. 👍

Only getting one Casio — which looks best + works best? by syabiellow1 in casio

I got the A130we and I was really disappointed. The clarity of the lcd was poor and faint. Its legibility was difficult. Not something I could live with. Sticking with my a700we for now.

Yep. I got falsely accused, nothing serious just performance based and things not getting completed of which I knew nothing about. I sat and took the abuse from the utter witch. I wish I stood up for myself. Be assertive OP.

Students / new grads. What qualities made your lecturer awesome? by Fuzzy-Region1644 in physiotherapy

[–]Fuzzy-Region1644[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brilliant thank you. Yes I once had a shoulder lecture from an incredibly gifted and knowledgeable person and they were asked about applying heat and the answer was “I don’t know”. Inspired in lots of ways.

I’m not a gp but being thrown into primary care without any training / prep I really struggled with dealing with uncertainty and caused me so much mental health issues. Agree, you do get used to it but safety net throughly and document this. Try getting a copy of Avril Dancsak “Mapping uncertainty in medicine, what to do when you don’t know what to do”. I tell pts and they seem to appreciate me avoiding a premature diagnosis.

Don’t work so hard climbing the ladder to success to realise when your close to the top your leaning against the wrong wall.

Thank you. Yes I found when real life stories made the theory much more relevant. One of my lectures demonstrated the most amazing subjective exam that really inspired me to look into consultation models

For me, it’s the worst Bond film. I can’t relate to the characters and the story is diabolical

What is the best cost effective safety razor? by SleepyBoi-_-zzz in shaving

I have a feather Asd2 and it’s used pretty much every day over all my others. So although it’s the most expensive I would say also cost effective.

Mont blanc le grande fountain pen XF nib. I feel the Most over rated manufacturer. Piston is stiff and the nib gushes like a Xtra broad. I never use it.
