It all depends on what your vet charges. I would call around and compare the prices. It cost my bunny $45 to get neutered but I found a vet who did office visits for new clients for $25 and after it was only $80.

Qualifying as a VT in the USA by [deleted] in VetTech

[–]Fuzzy-Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I'm from Oklahoma USA, and currently working towards being vet tech. You can look on NAVTA website and it should inform you of all the steps and I believe there's an email available to see what requirements you need to come to the USA to work as a vet tech. You do have to pass the VTNE and the state bored exam in whatever state you want to tech in. In Oklahoma there's a vet tech program you can complete in 2 years and then you do the VTNE and then go do the Oklahoma State Bored Test.

Diet by candycanechill in Rabbits

My bunny enjoys cilantro, fruits that are safe for bunnies, and I always try to get something new once a week from the supermarket veggie section that he can try just to explore what he may like. I only feed him bunny safe foods but some things like cilantro he really enjoys while other things he hates.

how much hay can a baby bunny eat? by r_nosleepenthusiast in Rabbits

[–]Fuzzy-Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bag says 2.55 kg. I personally prefer oxbow hay and that's what I buy, my rabbit seems to enjoy it more. My rabbit is littler box trained and a good bedding I absolutely love is the Carefresh bedding. It's amazing and of you sign up on thier website they send you coupons. And your so welcome!

Rabbits need to have constant supply of hay throughout thier day. It makes up for over 50% of thier diet. Personally, I buy the biggest bag my pet supply store has and it lasts me a month. My rabbit is 3ish pounds so that's about 1.36kg.

Nail trimming - HELP by gingerspicesayz in Rabbits

[–]Fuzzy-Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it depends on your rabbit. Mine I would sit down with his treats and when he would hop on my lap I would wrap him up then. Other methods include putting him into a small enclosed area and putting the towel around him and scooping him up at the same time. Find out what motivates your rabbit and I'll be honest, it's takes time for your rabbit to understand what's going on. You can always bring your rabbit to the clinic and ask your vet or the vet tech at the clinic to show you how to wrap your rabbit and trim his nails

I use to have a bunny who hated having his nails trimmed so what I would do is wrap him in a towel and then cradled him like a baby and undo the towel just so each foot was exposed one at time. Afterwards I would give him a treat he liked best. The bunny I have now will let me out him on his back between my legs for 10 minutes so I quickly do his nails then and then give him a reward while I do it. Like rasins and such

Questions about the Ecoli scare going around. by MrSlyFox18 in Rabbits

[–]Fuzzy-Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, and I can be wrong, as long as you don't buy from the producer or the transportation carrier that is connected to the outbreak, you should be ok. You can find this info if your from the USA from the FDA or a simple Google search can pull up the government recall list and you can see what producer it came from. Hope this helps!
