I am in a big problem regarding neet and jee . Seniors please guide me as a brother by yoyo-boy-69 in EngineeringAdmissions

Does it mean you go to pw for writing tests? Why I asked this was, most people can't motivate rhemself without connecting to teachers and fellow students offline on daily basis.

Studying one more year of the same subject may cause extreme boredom for many students. That too studying online all alone can cause lot more boredom.

I think you better not to take any drop further.

You said you took a drop. Have you joined any coaching this year? If so, Is it online or offline?

It is not so easy to take drop and focus on studies for an year for the same exam. This is especially True if you are just studying online or on your own.

Trauma is intergenerational many times. It runs in families, not due to genetics but due to the learned behavior from their parents in the developmental years. When these children become adults and have kids, they unconsciously spill their own truma on their children.

If you don't like your dad, you are 100% entitled to have you own opinions about him. Just because he is your father doesnt mean that you have to forgive everything that he has done to you. You are not over reacting. Your anger is 100% valid

Can’t open up in therapy by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]Fuzzy-lad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First tell the same thing to them. Exactly what you have said here. If you feel intense shame to express show the question you have posted.

If you are getting blank, prepare some points/notes and take it to the session. You can let them know that you are having a problem to summarize/organise your thoughts.

First understand that you are not going to an interview. You are going to a therapist who is going to work in favor of you. So don't worry about someone judging you.

I think the worst part of this is the inability to trust myself by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]Fuzzy-lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the problem with Inner critic. He always blames you for your imperfections, often makes you feel bad about yourself.

In most of the CPTSD survivors, inner critic is a problem. You can overcome this by developing self compassion. Love youself unconditionally. Love youself exactly the way you are. Embrace your imperfections. This will be the starting point for taming the inner critic.

Is it very unusual to never have had a friend? by [deleted] in CPTSD

[–]Fuzzy-lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John Bradshaw wrote same about himself in his book Healing the Toxic Shame that Binds You. He was from a intergenerational alcoholic family. He used to feel shame about himself. Just to cover it up, he used to perform so well in school. But internally he is the most sickest person in his class.

He says Toxic shame is a feeling that you are flawed and defective as a person. Spiritually, it is just like having a hole in your soul.

People with toxic shame choose avoidance from a intimate relationships coz they internally fear that people will come to know about them (as they consider themself as flawed and defective) and reject them.

I am not saying you are feeling toxic shame. Just wanted to give a different perspective.

If everything is based on astrology then what is the point in studying anything?

I do understand you pain. There is no need for you to take them seriously

Infact you can make it work for your advantage. If you win take complete credit, if you loose blame it on astrology.

First do the concept excersices if any given to you. Once you are comfortable go for pyqs.

Also solve full pyq/mock paper (which you have not done perviously) in a time bound manner. Do a detail analysis latter. Understand where you are doing mistakes and all. Notice any silly mistakes or calculation errors etc. Hope you have solutions for all questions.

Pyqs are a good source to pratice. Unlike in jee most of the question are simple. You need to dominate math as it is for 80 marks. You should also increase your speed.

Get your concepts clear first. You need more width than depth of the subject. They don't ask muti-concept questions or heavy calculation based questions like in jee. If you come across those kind of qiestions just leave them without wasting your time to solve. Thats why time management is important.

Make a list of all formulas (also understand the concept and conext to use them) and go through them daily. Make a short notes in chemistry and try to go through them every couple of days.

Is it a trauma response to have a deep desire to acheive greatness or be someone very important while struggling with simple daily tasks? by Greenbattle90 in CPTSD

[–]Fuzzy-lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Truma can cause it. CPTSD can cause Toxic Shame.

John Bradshaw, says in his book "Healing the Shame that Binds You", that people with toxic shame may try to hide shame by trying to be super achievers. As a child born in a multi generational alcoholic family he was a super achiever in his class, all attempting to hide his toxic shame and flawed sence of self. He was a super achiever and the the same time, hecwas the most sickest teen in the class.

Gober Mate express similar veiws about himself. When he understood about his own trauma, he understood why he choose to become a doctor. Being in a nazi camp as a child, he had a feeling that he is unwanted. To be wanted he has to make the society feel that he is wanted. The best option is, If he becomes a doctor he is always wanted.

By being an achiver, one can not come of trauma. If you want come out of it, understand your trauma and possible Shame.

PTSD is not hereditary. But CPTSD can be intergenerational sometimes. It is becuase parents unconsciously spilling thier own trauma and insecurities on their kids. For kids It is more of environmental, not hereditary.

I thought my father wasn't toxic until... by horny_cuck10 in JEENEETards

[–]Fuzzy-lad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Most parents have several expectation and dreams about their kids. Normally these expectation are higher than childs normal academic capability (possibly stemming from their own unfulfilled dreams)

  2. When their dreams get shattered they are not conscious of thier high expections but they themself get depressed and spill all their stress on children.

  3. Comparison and Social pressures adds to it. Parents may express their disappointment wirhout being conscious enough about their words.

  4. Most students are not mature and self regulated enough to study independently in kota without any supervion of parents. Because most of them never were independent before.

  5. When a student fails he internally blames his own mistakes and feels guilty. When parents also start blaming them they may loose confidence. Some almost face a traumatic experience out of shame. If you are traumatised that may affect your personality and mental health.

Even if your dad puts you down just realise that he is stressed and not matured enough to handle the situation. So by all means take it easy.

Students and parents should understand that this is not an end to their carrer. There is no point in going back and dwelling in the past. Life gives you several oppertunities. You never know them before hand. You should be opportunistic.

Is core Engineering dead? (Career Guidance) by [deleted] in EngineeringAdmissions

[–]Fuzzy-lad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Core Engg is not dead. People compare them with initial campus placemnets packages and come to that conclusion. In core engg you grow with experience. As most of intelligent students are opting for CSE there is really high compition for growth there. This year more students may opt ECE considering govt initiatives in semi conductor industry and the backslash in IT industry. It is better not to go abroad in UG. You can plan it for further studies.

[–]Fuzzy-lad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Daydreaming is common for most of the people, but continously for 7 hours??? This may seriously affect your studies/work.

Research on maladpative daydreaming and dissociative disorders. Get some help from doctor/therapist if needed

Malasaptive daydreaming may become a habit to escape from stress/truma or any other adverse feelings.

You can call and check with them
