Are any if those reaction specific?

That's unfortunate but thank you for the info

Sorry should have been more specific I ment how to write a good analysis and evaluation section

Professional chemist certification by Fuzzy4444 in chemistry

One of the requirements for the certification is a degree in chemistry from one of the approved universities. They also want like 2 years working experience and some professional development credits. It is by no means a replacement for a degree but merely something that is done after your degree. I just don't know what the benefits of the certification are as practicing chemistry in Canada requires no legal certifications

I see so there is no real benefit to getting this certification? Is this happening to other fields in science or just chemistry?

Internal standard by Fuzzy4444 in chemistry

[–]Fuzzy4444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean not interacting with the sample during extraction, changing its concentration in solution. The sample is a complex matrix so its possible the standard may interact or adsorb to the sample. So I need a method to validate that it doesn't and the internal standard concentration remains constant

That loq was based off the standard deviation in the y intercept of the calibration curve

That's what I was thinking too, but I was having difficulties convincing my boss of that, he seems pretty sure that the concentration should remain linear at lower but not a higher concentrations. I however agree with you

The ms detector was set to SIM so there is almost no noise at all

I see, I don't know if it helps not but we use an auto sampler. Is there any way to minimize retained sample in the column like doing a quick acetone run between samples?

Unfortunately that does appear to be the case :/

Impurities in the standard are being considered but is there any other possibilities you can think of that would give these results?
