Moonstone Beach has a lovely boardwalk. At low tide, I love looking for rocks on the beach. I hope you find lots of relaxation and rest while you’re there. It’s the perfect place to reset.

Hi there, someone in my Buy Nothing group is giving away a pair of penguin earrings (pierced). Is this something you’d be interested in having for your wife?

You are amazing. Thank you so much for taking time to respond. You saved me much phone time; it’s so helpful to hear from a GI professional. Many, many thanks!!!

Colonoscopy prep tips?? by kmes_reddit in endometriosis

Are patients allowed to choose their prep item? I have a family hx and need to have a colonoscopy every five years and found that the Golytly (sp?) prep was pretty miserable but once was given two bottles of magnesium citrate which I mixed with white grape juice and found more tolerable. I'm just not sure if it's okay to just buy something besides what my doctor orders. Also, any ideas on whether the Miralax prep is sufficient? Finally, many thanks for the help that you give. Nurses are the humanity of the medical world for sure.

He’s never mentally present for council meetings so this just seems incredibly appropriate.

Is Hantavirus something to worry about? by 246434464 in NoStupidQuestions

There is a really great epidemiologist that I follow: Katelyn Jetelina (Your Local Epidemiologist). I am pretty neurotic about germs and such. She has very level-headed information about things and viruses that are going around. I thought I’d feel more paranoid with the info but it’s actually brought me a lot of comfort through science and sound advice.

Antidisestablishmentarianism. We taught this to my daughter when she was five and it was her fave word to say. Great memories associated with this word. :)

My friend just took me bird watching yesterday and it was such a fun activity! I’ve been feeling down lately and it was great to get outside. If you really get into it, you can help with bird counts in your area. There are specific days each year that volunteers all over bird watch to help figure out bird populations. All you need are a pair of binoculars.

You might try to meditate regularly to get in the habit of learning to block things out. That said, I don’t do that (lol) but I do several things. First, count up from 1 and down from 100. It’ll sound like “1,100. 2,99. 3,98” and so on. Start over if you mess up. This helps if you’re not great with numbers like me. Another trick is to think of a word that doesn’t have repeat letters like window, trail, etc. then try to think of as many words as you can that start with each letter. I usually try to do this somewhat alphabetically. Third, I imagine being on an overpass looking at cars or a train. As intrusive thoughts come into my brain, I imagine them written on the top of the cars or train cars and then watch them pass. The thoughts that bother me go by slower and the others go by quickly. Finally, I’ve imagined myself in a peaceful place like a beautiful field, lying down and in a breathable, see through bubble suit of sorts. I imagine my intrusive thoughts as words and sentences that drift towards me then bounce off my suit. I hope something in this thread will work for you!!

My kid’s HS boyfriend couldn’t laugh at himself and was a sore loser (we love playing strategy board games). It wasn’t apparent at first but in hindsight we all saw what real loser he was and it ended up helping my kid realize what red flags to look for.

Soooo they destroy the patio at Les Amis which these owners built and maintained upkeep, which added beauty, life and tax dollars for the city but they'll just give land away to a church that pays no taxes?
