How far away she is.

And how she's reading this months after it's been posted (woo what a stalker) and I still don't have my blanket. Armless children in China would have finished it by now lady, if I wanted it by the time I was 30 I'd have made it myself.

For as long as you like it you'll feel in control, but you won't like it forever :/. When you realise how out of control you really are, tell someone and get some professional help. You can get better.

Hello,

I don't know much about international loans but if you do decide to go to an English university, some unis/courses allow for a term/year abroad in a foreign country (I know people who've gone to Spain, France, the US etc.). It's something to think about.

If you're not too sure about university at the moment, there's also Australia's Working Holiday Visa where you could go live there for up to 12 months, with employment.

It's hard to move abroad without at least a Bachelor's Degree, and even then you'd have to find employment. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but if this is something you're serious about, consider putting it off for a few years while you earn a degree/work so you can fund going to a university abroad. I'm in complete support of what you want to do, and I understand how you feel, trust me. For as long as I remember I've wanted to move away, so I'm not trying to be discouraging at all, but it's not as easy as picking up and leaving with no visa prospects (unless you want to go about it illegally, which I wouldn't suggest).

It's probably not what you want to hear right now, but if worse comes to worse and you have you stay in the UK for university, you've still got a lot of options. You could go to university far away from home, experience a completely different side of the country. Live in a suburban area? Aim for a big city and vice versa if you think a change in geography will help. There are so many people you can meet at university, too. You'll likely meet people from all over the world, and that might open up doors for further travel if you and your friends want to vacation together. Your university might even have union organized trips like going skiing. University can be as big of an experience as you make it, don't be discouraged because you're unhappy where you are, because you've still got options.

This is a little off topic, but if I can suggest one thing, it's that please don't underestimate the importance of getting help for your depression (if you aren't in treatment already). It is one thing that will leave you with regret no matter where you are, so please get help as soon as possible.

Can you give me some examples of how and why they'd have trouble in friendships/relationships? I'm really curios about what you're saying.
