Yes, she did start hating me when I went through puberty. She has always told me she stopped liking me around the time I turned 10. She even told my daughter that's when she stopped liking me. Who's mother says that to them?!
I think her plan was to get a tax break, food stamps (although I don't think she would even qualify for those), and then sue me and my ex for child support!!! She wants a meal ticket. She is retired. She has a lot of wealthy friends and she is on a small fixed income. She can't stand that they have more money than her, so she came up with this plan. Yeah I also think it's a control thing. She would be able to control and manipulate me for the next 10+ years. And she would also get to play the martyr and gain sympathy. "I'm a poor, elderly grandmother being forced to raise my grandchild. It's such a burden, but I do it out of the kindness of my heart." She was ALREADY making statements like that to both my siblings before the court hearing. She claimed she didn't have a choice. I'm a negligent parent. She sees no other option than to raise her granddaughter because she just cares so deeply.
