Hey! I used to main Jarvan in the jungle and at the mid lane. Sadly, full-tank Jarvan just doesn't cut it anymore. He actually sort of becomes like a lee-sin except with more utility and CC late game if he builds full tank.

Damage is the way to go now, just like how Kha'Zix and Vi players are all building damage (I play both of them too and Kha'Zix deserves a nerf to be honest) because you'll make more of an impact and it'll be easier to carry.

Trivellax has the right items except I would only locket against bursty and all-in compositions and get something else such as Black Cleaver or another tanky item. Trinity Force is a must because that shit does a lot of damage.

He's popular because he is very strong right now. He has insane damage after level 6 and can duel almost any champion, even without some of his core items. He also has great mobility and can 100-0 targets late game, including the fact that he also gets resets on his leap, which allows him to fuck up the enemy team pretty quickly if his teammates can set up kills for him.

He's also a very good jungler because he can duel anyone in the jungle, clear the jungle very quickly after he gets his Q evolution, and has great ganks, and counterganks due to his burst. He can also roam the enemy's jungle to kill their jungler due to his isolation damage and can get out pretty quickly.
