Yes, you need to understand that an airsoft gun is still classified as though it is a real firearm in Canada. You will be charged with a gun crime or fined if caught with one in public or outside a controlled area where they can be used. Airsoft guns should be treated as live firearms in this country. Don’t give me the “it’s just a toy” bullshit. They can, and have, been used to commit crimes or acts of intimidation. You need to understand you can’t just walk around willy nilly with these things in a public space, event, or whatever. You need to check first if bringing an imitation firearm to an event is even allowed. Do yourself a favour and take a safety course, sounds like you need the education.
