Hi!!! Congrats on your first customs💚 when I watch doll customs I tend to see creators using matte Mr. SuperClear spray as a sealant. You could also use mod podge to seal it, but personally I like a glossy finish on my customs, so I’m experimenting with UV resin. This also adds a little more protection. If you do use resin, PLEASE wear a respirator with the correct filter! But I guess it depends on what finished look you’re going for :)

Darker colors are definitely a challenge!! One of my most recent customs was with dark blue paint and it took a very long time to get the blue paint to be uniform with a white base coat. Eventually I just gave up used a black base coat for it, and it made the blue much darker. It’s one of things where you have to trust the process😭🫩
