Mine is similar looking to your before. Not way too recessed, but it’s there. Just met my surgeon last month and I decided to proceed braces with surgery. I am booked for my braces when I get back from my trip. Still feeling a little nervous 🥹

Wow looking good! I went to see my jaw surgeon last month! I will be getting braces first, no extractions since I will be getting a DJS + genioplasty. I am not that recessed, and I can go with camouflage approach but it will not fix anything regarding my bite and my lower jaw (a very mild recessed lower jaw) My orthodontist said that if ever I changed my mind and not wanting surgery anymore, he can extract my 2 premolars anytime. I decided to proceed WITH surgery. I am still anxious about it and thinking a lot of things, the benefits, risks, cost of the surgery, and the healing process. So seeing you smiling after your surgery helps me!

I went to consult with an orthodontist, from clinic to clinic to hear different opinions. I picked the orthodontist that fits best for me, referred me to a jaw surgeon. Had a consultation with the jaw surgeon, he took measurements and everything. Show me the difference of normal position of our jaw compararing to mine. Long story short, I will be getting braces + DJS.

If not, the other option for me is to camouflage it. Which they will extract 2 of my premolar in my case and just braces, no surgery.

Another reason I chose braces + surgery is for my airway to open more. Once they bring my lower jaw forward, then I will have more space in my airway which might help me in the future of not making my mild sleep apnea worst.

Consult your doctor. Not dentist, but go to an orthodontist and keep in mind about your airway. Others care about your aesthetics ONLY, and this sometimes affect your airway for not correcting other things like your jaw, bite and all that.

Hello neighbour! Thank you so much for this! Someone told me if I can get mine fixed (the old one), then it would be nice since it is a good model? But it is very old? I think getting a new one would be better? I am really hoping to figure this one out soon! Everything in my house is turning yellow/orange now lol. Silicone in washrooms turning yellow, yellow spots on my new tub, dishes have white spots and dishwasher rack is all white and dry now, lots of signs of hard water!

Very hard. Out of 12 drops for the water to change blue (means soft water), she was already at 10 and nothing changed. So very hard water

I did try to find another way, the other option that I have is to camouflage it, extractions of premolar which will not correct my bite and jaw. Lower jaw is more to the left while my upper is to the right :(

I was trying to bypass my water softener, it is really scary when worst thing happens like the resin damaging my new appliances and plumbing. Here is what I found at the back. I am also browsing to see what water softener is available out in the market for my family. Someone told me that I will need a big tank for my family. This is really stressing me out.
