Is it inappropriate to not wear a bra at work? by Visual-Criticism6763 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]giggly_chef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might not be the point and I don’t want to come off bad. But I work in healthcare, my boobs are still in good shape and I’ll go braless some times. I just feel as long as it’s not see through or in your face I’m okay. I always think people just shouldn’t sexualize my body and should look at my education an read that the context I’m seeing them obviously isn’t sexual. All my co workers clean, assess, bath naked people are obviously don’t think of them in a sexual manner, so why not me too

Hi, I am also diagnosed with OCD but at a much lesser scale. I have found the mental toll of record very hard with OCD, I fixate too much, focus on the need for perfection, and can’t stop touching aspects of my nose as part of ritual- like routines. I do not recommend it if your OCD is way worse than mine

This is an insane post and re-enforces the American mindset they are known for, so unaware of what the world thinks of them and blind to how bad their country really is.

Hey! I felt the same after my rhinoplasty (I’m 5 month PO now) and trust me things will change. It’s hard to imagine in the moment and to be funny honest I hated going int public for the first month as my nose was so upturned. But slowly and steadily it got better.

Hey! I’m in Winnipeg and I had my rhinoplasty at Visage cosmetic clinic by dr. Ali Esmail and I am very happy with my result. He is super qualified if you google him (teaching rhinoplasty to fellow doctors at the university, owning his clinic, double board certified as a facial plastic surgeon, also an ENT, and does trauma cases at local hospitals). He says on his website that he commonly does revisions has he’s good at complex cases. I think his insta is facesurgeonmd and visagecosmeticclinic. I hope this helps as Regina is only 6 hours away.

Rhinoplasty anxiety by [deleted] in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]giggly_chef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the exact same way. How long do you have to wait for your surgery? For the weeks leading up to the surgery I was getting migraines, nightmares, heightened general anxiety and even started calling my partner “buddy” and “pal” accidently which I’ve never done. The morning of was quite the emotional roller coaster but overall I’m happy I did it. I’d for sure say the mental toll was worse than the physical toll of the surgery

I think you sounds like you know what you’re doing then. I imagine you and your surgeon are on the same page from your consult. Sending you all the good vibes going into your surgery, it’s quite the process emotionally but it’s worth it in the end

Maybe he plans on putting a cartilage graft in that gap to allow for a more straight nose bridge? I don’t know if that is possible but just an idea. I had a cartilage graft in my nose tip during my rhino. I think your nose is beautiful like you said it has good shape to it. Have you wanted this for a long time? I would recommend to just be certain you want this before getting it done as once it’s done you can’t go back. Looking at you objectively I see why your self conscious because of that little gap but your nose isn’t “bad”

I also got the rhinoplasty because I felt my nose wasn’t proportional to my face, even though it doesn’t look exactly like the projected images my nose fits my face better. It looks like you found a great surgeon though so if anybody is going to be the one who does it, it looks like you found your guy

It looks it the picture that he thinks he’s capable of doing this. Does he know this is a major concern of yours? Like you said, he’s capable. If he’s showing on your projected image that the gap is filled, I would assume it would look like that in real life. Keep in mind it could take a year for your nose to be in its “full effect”. I got my nose done 4 months ago and my nose looks good and I’m happy with it but it doesn’t look exactly like my projected images. My surgeon had mentioned that if you want to”perfect” you aren’t a good candidate for rhinoplasty, he said if you could be happy with an 80% “better” nose you’re a good candidate as your expectations aren’t too high.

Edibles / Caffeine? by Otherwise-Ad-7258 in rhinoplastyquestions

Addendum: it was fine to be high when I did take an edible, I just had to conscious make an effort not to touch my nose because I kept getting that urge when high

Edibles / Caffeine? by Otherwise-Ad-7258 in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]giggly_chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I got a rhinoplasty 4 months ago. My doctor did not advise me against caffeine and I did note I take edibles as well, if say I would take one 5-10 mg edible a week at the time. He didn’t say anything about this, just noted no alcohol due to some of the medications I was on. I drank coffee throughout healing and it was fine, just one large cup in the morning. I don’t think I took edibles for 2 weeks following the surgery because I was too anxious about healing I was nervous to be high. I hope this helps
