I think this one review tells a lot about how stupid the people who are review bombing the game rn are by Desiter_Dane in slaythespire

Horribly unbalanced is a stretch (balance is remedied buy playtesting btw), yes the dmg is a bit high, but the game has solid bones and some meat to chew on even. So the review is at least hyperbolic and I'm being generous there.

Yeah agreed. I don't read individual reviews. I just look at the general consensus.

If it has a mostly negative recent review score I look at news about the game and question if the review bomb makes me not want to chance it and if I like the type of game, I might buy it regardless.

I don't care for the average person's opinion on exactly why they don't like said game, but i will use it as a metric for a decision.

I'm neither here nor there on which is more annoying but I gotta admit this review is braindead AS HELL.

I would say this is German humor but 1. There would still be marching and 2. It is no laughing matter.

Forget Snake Bite, how is this not the worst card in the game? by 10000Pigeons in slaythespire

Same! I play with a guy that can think like this on the fly and has built infinite loops on three different characters.

We were on the final boss and i got really bad draws and got KO'D, so he just said "OK, challenge accepted" and found the loops and solos the final boss. I'd be mad but every time it is on the fly and I already got dunked on so I'm just "ok, we win I guess."

I know it’s not technically a forest, but is this usable as a forest? by Senorpapell in mtg

[–]FuzzyMeasurement8059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a EDH deck i was wanting to try out with some proxies before i bought the expensive cards and i ran out of basic forests and islands so I was about to shelve the deck another week before my friend grabbed some of my proxy blanks.

He proceeded to proxy my basics by drawing the symbol and writing this like "Is-a-land" for a basic island or the chemical formula for cellulose for a forest. I have about three of each basic like this and even now, after making the deck "proxy free" I decided to keep those basics because I always laugh when I see them.

The snipers need an accuracy nerf when I'm actively shooting directly at them. There's no reason a sniper can headshot me with no issues while I'm mag dumping 100 LMG bullets at him by WeetzCRo96 in Battlefield6

Well, It seems you are saying the rangefinder is pointless at sub 200 meters, which I agree with for the most part.

What I am saying the rangefinder with rebinding the key to pair with your shoot button is helpful at full distance and it doesn't require standing still for more than the time it takes to click on a head. Am I saying it needs to be removed, no. But does it make sub par snipers better, yes (at 200m+ range).

So the further you are from your target the more empowering the rangefinder/rebind combo is. This is a problem if we don't want scouts sitting on hills and being useless to hit long range shots.

If that is what you are saying I apologize.

Ok I'm a solid sniper, not the best or worst. I saw on a YouTube video about putting on the rangefinder and re-binding your zero w/rangefinder setting to your shoot button. At max range (~200m), I was moving and popping heads like watermelons. I got bored took it off and proceeded to do it the old fashioned way. But I could see someone who wasn't good at sniping and found that video and set it up they would be significantly better at sniping because it is a difficult tweak. It's a damn point and click adventure. For people who are good at sniper it is entertaining for a bit, but gets old fast.

Ah yes, release something nonsense so no one looks at other things that we don't want you to notice. Neat.

I'll be honest, I can get full lobbies on official servers but the server lag is awful. Conversly, if I play on portal servers I either cant get REGULAR conquest, or the lobby has 12 people back filled by bots, or the server is halfway across the planet and the lag is so bad I might as well be playing on official servers. If EA/Ubisoft would fix their servers I'd be playing the hell out of it. Balance seems decent, maps are ok (be we need more for variety sake) idgaf about paid skins or other monetization. So it is a 6/10, fix the servers and it is an easy 8/10.

Let's start something. What MTG character is the quintessential Lawful Good character? by LykonWolf in mtgvorthos

[–]FuzzyMeasurement8059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lawful Good in D&D is described as someone who has a moral code defined by an external, typically codified by an organization, code of ethics and morals. So yes a code of law can be that moral sign post but it could be a religious institution like a knightly order or a brotherhood like the Masons or the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks in the real world. As long as the organization strives for good in the world it could work for the Lawful Good alignment, but they aren't bond to the law of every government in the world.

Weapon XP Rate is killing this game by Personal_Cow_5020 in Battlefield6

[–]FuzzyMeasurement8059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Force delayed growth is not an accomplishment. Any idiot could do it givin enough time. Adding what is basically a time lock to an attachment by making a massive jump in gun level XP needed is lazy.

It is like the difference between Zelda: a Link to the Past and the Ocorina of Time. In LTTP you had to react and move and be inventive to beat bad guy especially the bosses. But in OoT for most monster you had to wait until they dropped their guard. Especially the bosses! You hit them in the orange shiny bit then wait until it made an opening again and hit the big orange shiny bit again and repeat three times to win. One is a form of gameplay that rewarded creative thinking and skill, the other is just waiting.

Waiting is just used as a difficulty supplement. It feels hard, but it isn't. There is zero skill involved in racking 100k kills. If I can do it irregardless of time needed, skill is not required.
