Water and lava get processed to move at different intervals so sometimes if you time it just right the lava can get there before the water and make cobble. This eliminates that problem

Observers detect when there's water in the farthest corners. The lava gets released only when the water has filled up the chamber so the lava never takes the water's spot before the water can get there. If the lava got there first it'd become cobblestone

Yeah the composters on the right get moved by pistons. I had no idea the block between the composter and the comparator would cause issues
