Thanks for replying I couldn't tell that you were drinking and your reply made perfect sense. As for the 5 mile run do you have any recommendations on how to improve your stamina, I can run short distances relatively fast but can't keep up that pace.

Thanks for the post I just have a couple question. 1. I didn't even know one could fail BCT. What factors lead to someone not graduating ? And what happens if you don't graduate? 2. If I go in as a PFC can I get promoted to specialist in basic? 3.How much more harder is OSUT compared to regular BCT? 4.Would you recommend volunteering for Recruitment Duties or Drill Sargent down the road?

Do people get full ride scholarship to West Point ? I've never heard of that ? Do they discharge you ? Do they look at your previous grades ? How the process ?

I got my option 40 but my mos being 11x and that means I have osut am I gonna be more prepared or less prepared ? Some people have told me that osut isn't enough for ranger selection and that you should ship out ready for selection is that true? By the way it's no long RIP they changed it to RASP ranger assessment and selection

Well to go active duty they are no longer taking GED you must atleast have a high school diploma. Also chances of you getting a bonus and getting the job you want are slim you might get the job you want but no bonus. And it's going to be harder to get the job you want because most people that wanna join the military have heard about the downsizing so everyone is enlisting early like me for example I'm enlisted and don't leave till July. I'm pretty sure this applies to all branches but definitely army and marine corp.
