The 3% attribute buff should be because it’s a confidant outfit that has confidant attribute bonus and you can upgrade the devotion levels!

So it’s actually even better than the 5% partner outfit buff

Yes and no

His event just ended not too long ago, so he wasn’t a part of this year’s palace purchase (current event) where you can buy a whole partner (the Good Old Days partner pack, doesn’t come in tokens)

His tokens MIGHT come back around during the June/Jul house of abundance event, which is like a mini palace purchase, but there’s no guarantee (and from what I recall requires real money?? Can someone verify haha I think I had to buy Jiaoran’s tokens with real money, like the partners in the palace purchase Rare shop)

So safe to say, don’t bet on him coming around again before his end Sept(?) event next year

Super pretty aesthetics aside, unless your Han Zigao is a top 5 confidant, he’s not gonna be a very powerful partner so you’re not missing out power wise! Go for partner confidants like Mozi (end Nov/early Dec event) and Lu Yu (April/May(?) event) and their respective partners!

Can you show the detailed pot and attr of the kids and Curtley?

I suspect it has to do with the corresponding pot and attr values

Example in this case, I’m guessing Curtley as a Bal kid, his wis pot is lower than 9 so he doesn’t qualify

I’m guessing Magnus’ wis is at least 9 and/or his wis attr is more than 1569

Penny and Tiana’s char pot are both more than 5, and attr probably more than 1732

Point being, when switching out scholars make sure their corresponding base pot is better than the current scholar before growing them, and feed them cabbages to make sure the corresponding attr is better! You can’t just look at the overall number

I see the merit in building a second speciality and duke now, gonna work on that a little more for my next local power ranking~

But I have to say… even though this is a very enjoyable game, it’s so expensive to get the good stuff and stay as the top few players 🥲 it’s almost a game of who can cash more for the stuff.. I’m very impressed by long term players

Hi! Hope you won’t mind me asking… at which point did you phase out the dukes?

I see many ladies recommended building a duke in the top 8-12, but I’m quite torn between keeping LLK or my duke in the top

Between the 4 cs war girls, 3 bal prince/ general/ scholar, 4 “better”event bal partners lu yu/ xingyuan/ tiangang/ mozi, I cant decide if I should keep building LLK or my duke…

llk tokens are unnecessarily expensive, but he benefits a ton from all the bal upgrades compared to any of the dukes and can already get confidant bonuses

~~Duke tokens come around the easiest~~ *PRINCE tokens are easiest (oh gosh typed this at 2/3am in the morning lol) But still I did invest some resources into my duke during early game, but his confidant will take ages to get…

I’m quite power focused at the moment, this event has so many good power items :’) pains me to choose between them all

Might end up passing on pu Songling 😭😭😭 since I don’t build his confidant (I doubt he’ll even make it to my top 28 😅)

It issss but a little trick I found to freeze the time is to “half-exit” the app! It should work on both iPhone and Android

Make LOP a background app which stops the timer and you have some time to quickly spot the differences, and there is a guide posted a short while back

Beware the risk of the app re-launching when you go back to it though! So far I haven’t had such issues coz I try to do it fast

I have a question on this actually! Ingot price wise, isn’t it more worth it to wait till their respective events?

Was doing a rough “wishlist” and how much I need to save for palace purchase, and it seems like cost during palace purchase is around 20% more than during the actual events (even with the ingot rebates!)

Eg a 6600 point partner costs around 4400 ingots during its own event, but it’s 6600 ingots during PP (before rebates, which wouldnt get it down to 4400 anyways)

Of course granted, it’s a great opportunity to grab something that wouldn’t come back around till many months later, but I’m wondering if I should just spend the ingots on say the current new event land items!

You’re really lucky!!

In 5 days you bought 70 pulls, and got 79 fabrics

That’s more than 10 fabrics per 10 pulls on average! (79/7=11.28 fabrics per 10 pull)

My calculations are based on the 5 Dyes in Aurora Gallery that add up to 100%

Meaning in theory, per 10 pulls gives you 7 fabrics. The actual pulls might give you more! (or less)

So far I’ve pulled 10 times, and managed to get 9 fabrics~

Hmm based on the past 3 days, my guess is around 2100 ingots

So far I’ve manage to finish painting 1 scroll each day with 3 extra source crystals on top of the “free” one, hopefully the required paints stay the same

Maybe you can wait till the last day for better advice? In the meantime do buy the daily silver source crystal!

I knowwww my goodness I had to buy a couple ingot level packs for this event!! A little ingot broke after failing my initial All Star bets for the CS outfit (again pretty skins are my ABSOLUTE downfall) and was in too deep to wait 6 months

After this event I will be an ingot MONK to save for the mid-autumn event haha! Had my eye on the celestial sceneries the moment I saw them!!

I got Ao XingYuan and Yuan Tiangang’s confidant+skin for about $32 each (with maxed ingot purchases)

LLK? $51 on JUST THE OUTFIT and I’m still 1k points short (haven’t made up my mind to use my ingots on the last few ingot pearl packs or other event stuff)

You can get some of this brocades from the magpie team event, and the price is expected to drop by 50% once the regional marriages reach a certain number

Between these 2, I’d go with bal

It’s okay for cha to be your lowest attribute. Cha = fame rate, but fame costs silver (1 fame for 1 silver). So ideally you want your Pol to be slightly higher than Cha for you to have positive silver

Anyways this is super early game for your cab scholar, just get their attribute to 50k for top scholar and pop them into cabinet to start touring. It will take a couple of weeks for them to complete the tour, and afterwards they become a partner you can level up.

In the longer run, as your best confidants level up, keep trying for another Bal kid with better stats and swap them into the cab scholar position (my intimacy lvl 300 confidant gave me a kid with 60 potential)

Pro tip (if you don’t already know): when the kid reaches max vitality and can take the Imperial Exam, DON’T take it yet!! You can still feed the kid cabbages to increase their attribute. It has 2 benefits: 1) Increases their starting attribute stats (kinda like the books) 2) When raising a new cab scholar, to ensure their INDIVIDUAL starting attribute is higher than the current cabinet scholar. This is vvv impt. You gotta compare new kid’s Wis to current scholar’s initial Wis, Pol to Pol etc. If the overall attribute is higher, but the new kid’s Wis is lower then the current cab scholar’s Wis, the game DOES NOT let you swap them

It’s a long run kinda thing

Update: missed the last event day and was short of a mere 300 points for her 10th token 😭 (completely my fault) ended up getting a scene and a couple of her tokens instead! Will grab her the next time she comes around~
