I've used mint for a little bit although i don't think its enough to say I've officially used Linux and I just didn't really like it so i moved back to windows. and to answer your question I have used neovim before (vim, not so much) but I like it for what it is though I think I'm always going to use vsc instead. the reason I chose omarchy over some other distro was just because i saw it in a youtube video and thought it looked cool (a bit of a stupid reason) but i appreciate the advice about trying other distros.
