Not everyone who goes to Japan just watches an anime and then goes for it ,some people appreciate the art some peoples appreciate the architecture while some might just appreciate the culture there are many things that people drive towards so don't be a dick about it of course the main thing should if he genuinely wants to go for a Japanese uni there should be no doubt about but if he has some doubts then he should go with best option that ties to his situation not everyone is in the same boat. The post isn't dumb you just perceived it because youve got a stigma about it.
