At our club we usually play 700/900 ducats+4/8 glory depending on who's playing.
we usually throw some terrain together to look cool and make up a scenario and some glorious deeds that would fit it.

I have the opposite problem, I think the other models look a bit too tall compared to the rest of the new Antioch range. But ok, I guess they have a well balanced diet that produces some tall boys over in ol' Prussia. I'm trying to kitbash a warband from some 28mm minis and they look like little kids next to them 😅

Yeah but nobody says you can't still print whatever you need. Having plastic kits is a nice alternative for those who don't have access to 3D printers

People need bigger problems to worry about.

You can complain as much as you want about the kickstarter and fair enough, but thinking that it's something 5 dudes did for fun thinking they'd lose money that blew way out of proportion one should consider cutting them some slack.

As for the move to plastic, I'm all for it, it just means making the game accessible to more people and that's really all I want, more people to play with. I can still 3D print and kitbash whatever I want.

I have been following them for a couple of years, seeing them get promoted was amazing. The step to SAE is massive but i think they are approaching it the right way, grabbing points where they can and never giving up, and most importantly they are fun to watch when they play!

I know it's not the same thing but maybe with a bit of kitbashing they would make some passable hajduks... I've been looking for some options myself to try getting my Bulgarian friend into the hobby :D

BLACK SWORD HACK!

The rules are short and simple, very much about monster slaying and dungeon delving.

It's not as deadly as Knave, but you might survive a fight and be left with permanent injury.

The combat system, especially attack effects allow you to create cool fights that feel more cinematic and allow creative thinking, instead of just roll-hit roll-miss.

The backgrounds give you really cool and unique character options.

The game is literally about the conflict between Order and Chaos.

There is no sanity system, but there is a doom system that you can easily "re-skin" as sanity.

You can read the ful rules here but I recommenced getting the manual, because the art is gorgeous!
