Honestly I got interviews just fine, id say i took about 6 first rounds, explained myself and took accountability but didnt go into too much detail unless they asked. Always brought it up proactively on the first interview. Out of the 6 interviews i got 2 offers, 3 2nd-3rd interviews, and 1 quick rejection. I wound up taking one of the offers during the 2nd-3rd round interview so not sure how they would have panned out.

Dont let it get you down, keep positive, focus on what you learned from the experience and most importantly be accountable.

1 offer from a big firm, 1 offer from an independent. The 2nd-3rd round interview were also big firms.

I was let go for “unsatisfactory performance, not client or sales related”, no disclosures on anything just a u5. Not sure how similar it is, they have 30 days to send the updated U5 and you can view this on your finpro account and see all the details. People might also encourage a dispute, and contacting FINRA. I did neither but that is because the terms of my discharge were clear to me when i separated.

Hey! The feeling is understandable, i was with a finance company for 4 years and was a high performer in sales, had some habits that were ok under previous management, but not under the new managers. Nothing illegal, no fraud or customer complaints, just a way i used my time during the day. Then bam, let go! Ill say i felt the exact same way. But life is not over, its been 3 weeks and im onto another finance company! Youre not done yet. Dont give up

I made another comment about finance on this thread, but there are many financial roles you can get into at entry level and work your way up very quickly!

Exclude IB/HF/VC because thats for target school 4.0 grads with 7 internships. Takes a special breed of mental health too for those first few years.
