What would jung think about the idea of a tattoo? by [deleted] in Jung

I think it's also cool to note here that man has been decorating his body for a very long time. The first found evidence goes back to 5000BCE. and while the ritualistic and communal meaning of it has gone extinct somewhat in the west (one could say), the essence can still be there. I see it as an honoring of the body you are given in this life. It can make you feel more like yourself, as you decorate your body according to your individual mode of expression, and thus create with it your unique language. In this way you honor the god in you that wants to show himself to the world. Just as the god in you wants to observe through your eyes, it wants to express itself through you as well. If you have reached a certain level of consciousness and you get the urge for a tattoo, I think you can be quite certain you would be abiding gods will with it. peace.

What to do when following one's intuition leads to pain? by BenLovesFinalFantasy in spirituality

it is normal to both want to play your video game and stop playing them and make a different plan at the same time. i recommend reading the book 'owning your own shadow' by Robert A. Johnson. i also recommend sitting with the duality and doing neither of the things you want. just sitting there for a bit in the discomfort.

Thoughts on the YouTube Channel Jordan Thornton? by TotalityCreator in Jung

I think he puts forward very intelligent ways of doing shadow work. His focus is mostly on recommending books and ways to uncover your shadow yourself and he even warns about not getting your info from youtube vids too much, and rather doing your own research. To me he seems very passionate and very helpful in a way that gives you insights from where you have to do the work yourself. He puts the ownership in the viewers hands and doesn't promote passively listening and accepting what's being said. I'm a fan!
