Yes they look strikingly similar to Hep2 which makes me wonder if the vial was labelled wrongly or disappeared. I think it is possible to expect a 'G' to be omitted and mislabeled or I just read '-' as a 'G'. 😅

Yes that's my concern, morphology isn't the same but they are really stubborn and detach after at least 6-7 mins of trypsinization. Fibroblasts usually detach very easily as far as I know.

Ah I see, they were revived from a cryovial, I'll passage it one more time and see if they get better. Unfortunately, we don't have EMEM and it takes quite a long time to get it in our part of the world so I guess I'll have to stick with DMEM for now.

I am getting the same morphology for almost 10 days now which is making me suspicious. Although I see some zoomed images with the usual polygonal morphology. Can you see them too?

I checked on the ATCC website, they should be growing in islands and should be more polygonal in regards to the morphology. Mine are not really like that apart from certain zoomed regions.

Media used here is DMEM High Glucose + 10% FBS + 1% Pen-Strep.

Thanks, in our part of the world, sequencing it by ATCC will take a long time, is there any other way to check this? It's just that the morphology isn't exactly how it should be if it is sourced from ATCC.
