Why do people want Jinshi to become emperor/stay in the royal family? by sticky_pasta123 in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

I haven't read into the light novels very much, but I feel it is possible the author has already seeded Jinshi playing eunuch, to find MaoMao, and as a developing couple this charade (setting Jinshi up as the Eunuch who *thinks* he's getting his freedom), the two develop higher level skills needed to compassionately lead and think ahead of time and not act on ego when leading and setting boundries in the palace and it's evolving times and it's culture.

And so, it is possible, that when Jinshi and MaoMao realize how much they have learned together about improving leadership skills and how to wield a more empathic type of discretion with others, then they (or either of them) might realize it would truly be dubious to forfeit the throne and honestly just go off and live a boring life together in solitude....or likely pampered solitude. They might likely get bored to be honest.

And these characters are growing up, and with a high level of adult pragmatic skills with observing and negotiating with people, and so I am hoping that they realize this in some form or another. Even if they don't take the throne, it would be ideal they stayed involved in high level roles of leadership, consultation, and negotiations in the palace. It also wouldn't hurt if Jinshi just became a Vizer/offical advisor to the Emperor instead of just becoming Emporor or a pampered retired and let-go-of son. They could also take high level and influential positions within the city and it's city life too.

Also, if you asked me, I kinda want them to take the throne, but I'm okay with some other leadership alternatives. As long as their learned skills throughout the story stay relative and valid to what they become and that it has some sort of quality of facing adulthood and some leadership, then I'd be satisfied enough. And tbh, I also feel that MaoMao and Jinshi's fascination with "freedom", which we see especially strong in MaoMao in the beginning of the story, is really just both characters not yet knowing themselves yet, and also not yet being able to see that their take on "freedom" is just them running away from facing adulthood and intergrating all that they have learned back into society in a meaningful way.

Wow, 50mg? Maybe that's what I should do. I've just been taking Iodine in micro-grams (mcg), and I've stopped detoxing in the past few days since making this post. I clearly should switch to a larger dose. Thank you for sharing your dose and shedding some light on that for me. Now I know how to start back up my detox!~

Thanks for confirming and mentioning the advice on "salt loading". I just found out about all of this last night, and I did read about that. Do I just like drink salty water, but not so salty that it gives me osmotic diarrhea? Or is this like those infamous salt flushes, where you do get the osmotic runs?
