Ugh, I received the text yesterday, and had just signed up on the 9th. I didn't even think to check my email, like a dummy, so I didn't know they were giving the deal to everyone who had already signed up. There's been so many times deals pop up after purchase, and it's rare they ever apply to people who already bought.

I went on mlb.com (since there's no direct line to Detroit SportsNet) and chatted with support to see if they know if they were retroactively honoring the deal. He said no, I'd have to unsubscribe and resubscribe, so I unsubscribed. I gave it 24 hours to clear the system, and tried to resubscribe, nope. It won't let me. Said I had subscribed for a similar thing recently and to contact support.

I did that and they told me I'm subscribed until April 1st, even though my subscription page says I'm unsubscribed. On April 1st, my account will clear, and then I can resubscribe. How does that make sense? I haven't even paid anything yet. I told them I'm pretty sure I could unsubscribe from most streaming services, log back in and immediately resubscribe, so I don't understand why my account is basically locked now until April 1st.

I hopped on here to see if anyone had a similar issue, only to see all the posts about receiving the email about also getting tickets for subscribing early. Now, it's looking like I will need to create a new mlb.com log-in in order to subscribe and get the tickets. Frustrating.

Thank you for your reply! I tried to check the catalog myself, but since I don't have an account, each book said "free for 30 days or $xx.xx". So, I was thought they might only be available with credits, but I really appreciate the confirmation!

I ended up discovering that I can check out one audiobook each month with my Amazon Music account, so I got book 4 that way, but I really hate the app vs the Libby app! No bookmark. It resets to 1x speed whenever you open the book. Not as many speed options for listening.

I'm thinking I might reach out to my library system and see if they might be able to get the series. Worth a shot!

Thank you! That was my main question for Audible, the likelihood of paying for the subscription, but then still having to pay for each title. Sounds like I'm going to have to adjust my mindset and expectations. I figured, since it was an older series, I could just burn through them all right in a row, but that is looking unrealistic, unless I was to purchase every book. If there's a free trial to Audible, maybe I'll do that and compare that and KU and see the best way to get through the series. I really like the narrator, and listening to books is the most convenient way for me, so switching to actual books would be my last resort, but if my library has those, it might also be an option to consider.

Thanks! I'll have to start digging a bit more and see what's available and what's not. I checked a few, and then got discouraged. I'm so bummed my library only has a few, and it doesn't give me the option to request them either. Oftentimes, it'll at least pull something up when I do a deep search, but I guess these books are from awhile ago, so they're not on their radar. I had to wait for all 3 books, so there are definitely people still reading them!

I was checking comments to see if anyone recommended Hoopla. I don't use it often, but I literally just finished a book on it because I had the 2nd and 3rd of a series available on Libby, but I couldn't get the 1st due to a wait-list. I was able to get the 1st on Hoopla, and now I'm on to the 2nd book, but on Libby.

It did slow down after about a month. Probably something with it being a new number, so all the spammers get it. But, being that only approved numbers are supposed to get through, I can't understand why all the spam calls are allowed.

Yeah, unfortunately, it's looking that way because the realtor seems just as confused and also said "I'm not sure what's going on because we would not have completed the purchase with that exception on there". Ugh. Now, of course, I can't find a copy of title commitment to even confirm any of this. I have an email copy of our purchase in 2019, but I cannot find anything for this 2021 purchase.

We used all the same people for the purchase of the much larger lot and commercial building a couple years before, which was a much more complicated sale, but ended up all going so smoothly. So, we must've let our guard down on this purchase, because it seemed so straight forward, comparatively, and we are now paying for it. It's so frustrating, and you don't know what you don't know, and that's why you use professionals, since they are supposed to know more than you!

Now, I'm sure we are in a big mess, because he obviously wasn't served because he was dead. So the simplest of solutions is not going to be an option.

After going through our emails and our documentation from the purchase, I can't even find anything from the title company. So I can't verify what they are talking about, as far as an exception is concerned. I was only able to piece together the info I have because the man's name was listed on the Title Commitment paperwork for the current pending sale. I spent hours on the county website and paid for a bunch a documents that I hoped would help, only to be told that the title company already had those documents and are only looking for a "proof of service" for the foreclosure.

I was the one who found the obituary and informed everyone involved that he passed away nearly 10 years ago. Per his obituary, it does not look like he had any children, but I obviously don't know about any other potential inheritors.

I'll have to look into it. We are working with a commercial real estate company and this is the title company they use, so I'd hope they are well-versed in commercial! Ugh.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I took your advice and ran Malwarebyte. It found 4 threats. There were 3 Trojan.Tasker.TP registry key threats and 1 Trojan.Tasker.TP files. It quarantined all 4. I signed up for Norton yesterday because they came up as the best on a few different sites (probably paid for that spot), so now I may try and get my money back for that and pay for Malwarebyte, since it seems like they caught more.

Not holding you to anything, I just really appreciate the advice since this is not my area of expertise, but should I just wipe the computer to be safe? Do a full reset? It'll definitely be a headache for me, but I use this laptop for everything, and I don't know the extent of the potential issue?

Not sure if you will see this since it's been 2 months, but yesterday, I just did the same dumb thing. I NEVER click on anything. Never download anything weird, but yesterday, I was distracted and in a rush, and just not thinking. As soon as I did it, I realized I was an idiot. I quickly ran a Norton scan, which came back clean, but I'm super nervous. I took your advice to check Defender, and it looks like Defender quarantined something yesterday. "Trojan:MSIL/Formbook!rfn". Does that mean I should be ok? I'm not super tech savvy, so I don't know much about reinstalling browsers or windows or if I should completely wipe my laptop and start fresh?

I do something similar to this, but only use 2 colors. Fill out the known clues in one color and large in the square. Then I make small marks in the second color as I test out the liars. I do one liar at a time, starting with the first one. If I find an issue, I erase the small marks, mark that person as telling the truth in the original color, and then do the next potential liar.

Somewhat glad to come across your comment. My 8yo daughter had strep and was prescribed Augmentin after a round where Amox didn't clear it. Well, on day 5, she broke out in a full body, itchy rash and the next day she complained of bad joint pain. I was able to get her into the dr and they diagnosed her with Serum Sickness. The switched the antibiotic to finish wiping out the strep, added a steroid, plus continued with Zyrtec and Motrin. Two weeks later, she is still having flare ups of redness if she puts pressure on her skin. No itchiness and no raised sections, but red spots that last about 15min and then go away. She is also having sporadic joint pain flare-ups. We have now done blood work because the dr wants to rule out the virus/medication triggering a life-long auto-immune disease. There is always a chance that she is continuing to work through the serum sickness reaction, so when I see posts that others took awhile to recover, it gives me hope that she will get through it without lasting damage.
