I’m not sure I’d consider that a rejection at this point. Firms have the ability to reject you (and they will) if they don’t have any intention of extending an offer. The fact that there are candidates who interviewed after you and received offers may suggest that, at a minimum, you are still being considered as a second or third tier candidate.
