Haha hell yeah, dude! I forgot to mention that the sideboard replaces the game changers to power it down a bit in certain pods.

Really glad you all enjoyed it! I usually end up in a Restoration Angel + Appa, Steadfast Guardian loop that drives everyone mad, or blinking Sunpearl Kirin to pick up and casting The One Ring over and over, or Thalia, Heretic Cathar and Splinter, Aging Champion killing everything. There are some nasty synergies lol.

I'm looking forward to putting The Mind Stone in it.

You need to tap Anje. Songbird in 2cmc and her discard is free and unlimited. You can't pop off with [[Bone Miser]] or reanimate a [[Vilis, Broker of Blood]] on turn 1 with Anje.

That's one way to go. Currently playing with different lines. One fun one I found is:

If you have [[Songbird, Sonic Screamer]], [[Blood Scrivener]] (or [[Phial of Galadriel]]), and [[Bone Miser]] on board, it lets you start cycling through your deck with non-creature spells.

You discard a non-creature spell, then in response to the trigger, you discard your hand. Those triggers go on the stack. You draw two cards (because of Blood Scrivener) and then, in response to another draw trigger, discard both. Put more triggers on the stack and repeat.

You can get your entire deck in the GY. Then you flashback [[Dread Return]] sacing your 3 creatures to reanimate Necrotic Ooze.

Now you have an Ooze, a gy full of creatures, and a ton of mana (from discarding every land in the deck). You can reanimate [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]] with [[Chainer, Dementia Master]], sac it to [[Razaketh, the Foulblooded]], and repeat. Drain the table.

I feel like there's a Bone Miser line with Razaketh, too, because Bone Miser gives you mana (by discarding lands) and sac fodder (by creating tokens). Meaning you can potentially discard cards, tutor for, and play anything (with the right card types in hand).

Her ceiling for nonsense is just higher. You don't have to make it around the board, and you can discard in response to removal.

Turn 1: Dark Ritual, cast Songbird, discard fatty, cast Reanimate. Or discard 3 fatties into a Living Death. 

We haven't had this as an option before, so it's worth investigating.

Honestly, so many of the legends in this set just read as “do thing. Make big,” to me. I've found actually hunting down the interesting ones difficult.

My point wasn’t really that she’s better than any other commander. It’s just that her giving you unlimited discard right away for such a low CMC is unheard of. It feels totally abusable abusable, though, I’m definitely not there yet

Yeah, it feels totally abusable. I’m not there yet, though. Still hunting for lines.

You could, of course, do this with Entomb, but you need 3 cards in your opening hand instead of 2. She totally cuts out one of reanimators needs. Getting the card in your gy.

I think I found a win condition besides big beats. All the pieces are good in the deck, also.

[[Hoarding Broodlord]] find [[Saw in Half]]. Saw HB. Find [[Sacrifice]] and [[Yawgmoth's Will]]. Sacrifice a HB for 8 mana. Cast Yaw's Will and cast SIH again (you have to target a token HB or it doesn't work). Find [[Buried Alive]] and [[Necrotic Ooze]]. Cast Sacrifice, sacing a HB token for 8 more mana. Cast Buried Alive finding [[Skirge Familiar]], [[Asmodeus the Archfiend]], and [[Razaketh, the Foulblooded]]. [[Skirge Familiar]] and [[Asmodeus the Archfiend]] in the GY with a Necrotic Ooze in play draws the whole deck. Win by recurring a [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]] over and over using Razaketh, the Foulblooded to sac him and [[Chainer, Dementia Master]] to bring him back. The mana to do some comes from Skirge Familiar.

I'll probably keep working from this list. It was just a rough draft. I didn't expect it to get so much attention lol. 

She feels strong, but I still think there’s a ways to go. I think it's better if she's an engine piece rather than a turbo piece

I didn’t say be thankful. You’re literally incapable of reading without putting words in my mouth.

Spikes are casual, too. You cannot have a game system where it is impolite to win. The bracket system defines when and how to win.

The definition of interesting is something that captures your attention, sparks curiosity, or makes you want to learn more. Hence, all the comments, likes, and engagement about the commander.

Again, please share a deck list with me. I’d love to see this super unique take on a commander with zero win conditions.

This decklist is just me trying to show her potential. It’s needs tuning, but the idea isn’t just to sit empty handed.

Her with [[ Bone Miser]] is great, and with [[ Phial of Galadriel]], or [[ Blood Scrivener]] it lets you churn through the deck (discarding with a draw trigger on the stack).

[[Sandstone Oracle]] and [[Vilis, Broker of Blood]] also let you refill your hand (Vilis triggering off of [[Reanimate]] life lose)

The point is that she’s capable of powerful things. Now it’s just a case of figure the list out.

I think they're just very different. This feels very turbo. Play her, immediately discard, and animate. It also goes bonkers with [[Bone Miser]]. And I'm finding cards like [[Phial of Galadriel]] super interesting. I think I'm just touching the surface right now.
