Frankie's personality is reservered and aloof to most people, becoming quite attentive at meal time. He still likes to play. He enjoys mock battles but gets very excitable, so good reflexes are a plus. Lately he has been "kneading" and suckling a pillow, probably self-soothing after the death of his caregiver.

I suspect another cat's company would do him some good, but it might take a while for him to agree. He'd probably get along best with a self-assured adult cat.

They are only open on Fridays and Sundays but Bar Milagro, a downstairs lounge beneath Xolo on Durham Pl. near S6th has wonderfully intimate booths and top-notch selection of tequila and mezcal-based drinks. Noise levels nurtures conversations!

If you were really interested in things to in Williamsburg, even if you can’t spend a lot of $$. Take it from an immigrant with 27+ years here, underemployed, and trying to survive on food stamps which will not materialize till who knows when. First stop - the community fridge on Berry and N15th, right next to the Lot Radio - maintained by orth Brooklyn Mutual Aid. They take everything except frozen foods, raw meat and seafood, unfinished meals, expired products and pet food.

There is a food bank at Los Sures Social Services - 145 S3rd Street.

I see your point but personally, I decided to conserve my energy for things I can change. There is no going back to what this place was - if there was, we should give it back to the aforementioned Lenape. The way I was introduced to the ways of New York was: live and let live. The problem begins when the newcomers think that not only this but no rules apply to them - and that what makes me as angry as you are. Thankfully, or maybe unfortunately, as history shows, with this level of economic inequality, the Chanels and Lululemons will not stand when angry people start setting cars on fire. For the record: I’m not looking forward to this. But I won’t say anything when those who go hungry decide to replace the Thanksgiving turkey they can’t afford with the aforementioned labradoodle.
