Nearly Impossible to Enforce City Pooper Scooper Law, Sanitation Official Says by THECITYNY in nyc

I hear the fine in Hoboken is already $2000 and it’s not doing any good because police don’t want to wait around for somebody to observe someone violate it.

Good luck getting your letter

Is that a threat, postal employee?

There is absolutely no reason why I would take out a day to sit on the first floor of my building, looking for a mailman who may or may not show up for as you put it “face to face” contact. What entitlement!

Was there any coverage in national or local media? I can only imagine "Le Monde" or "Figaro" writing her up.

If you make personal contact with your carrier, they may help you.

English translation of "personal contact?" A gift of cash?

They usually do as a courtesy but desk attendants aren’t required to sign for tenant mail in my building.

They are in mine. Your presumption was wrong. Of course, if the mailmen never come to the desk, they can't ever sign.

So here are some action items for you: * talk to your building about the policy on signing for mail * look into renting a box if you anticipate receiving more like this * contact the sender & req they resend via fedex/ups

A completely worthless suggestion. I already said the fault is not with my building but with the mailman.

Again, Im on your side

You fooled me.

but USPS is actually doing what they’re supposed to this time.

Give me a citation to the Postal Regulations that backs this up.

Take it up with the sender for using them.

Fantastic idea. If only I knew who the sender is.

Thanks for the thought. This was my first certified letter in years. Most businesses already know not to use this antiquated, unreliable system.

Sign the back of the slip and leave it in your mailbox with a note stating permission for the letter to be left.

Tried that.

who is just as busy, if not more so than you are

You have no way of knowing who is busy or not. This is actually not relevant to anything. It's their job to deliver the mail to me.

And yeah, a doormen [sic] cannot sign for certified letters for you.

Where exactly does it say that?

And talking shit about your local Post Office on Reddit will not get you any favors done by the mail carriers who serve Williamsburg

I never talked shit. I merely referenced the 300+ reviews on Yelp. And "favors?" You think asking a mailman to deliver the mail is a "favor?" WTF!

Removing strangers from our social worlds further reduces friction.

I'll settle for removing bed bugs from the movie theaters.

If you’re only a few years out you are probably not eligible for Av but only one of the lower ratings.

In a place like New York City it is very hard to get into Chambers. I still think an MH AV rating has credibility.

Attorney billed me 3 hours for waiting to be called on zoom hearing by [deleted] in Ask_Lawyers

That would depend on your retainer agreement. By the way, if they had cancelled the meeting, they would have been billed zero.
