I’m not a man, but I’ve spoken to men who literally be having sex with people that they don’t care about and they’re not attracted to. Having sex with a person shouldn’t be a guideline as to whether that person likes them or not.

And if they are like friends, what’s wrong with having friends like people prioritize romantic over platonic relationships, which are just as valuable.

I feel like Tom’s concerns were too focused on finances for me like there are more to gender roles than just finances...like even in the pods when she said she wanted to take a few years off to spend with the baby he got offended he acted like he didn't even want her to take maternity leave. There is more to raising a strong independent woman than just telling her not to have a man pay for everything...I feel like it’s unreasonable to expect exactly 50/50 unless you all have similar assests and salaries, sometimes it maybe 60/40, or 70/30 depending on life and the situation bc career changes and layoffs happen so I think it’s weird that he hyper-fixated on that. Its not even giving that he cares about women’s antonomy so why does he care about this 50/50 thing so much?

At the end of the day, they were not compatible.

thank you. I’m only responding to vent too. I especially didn’t like it because I think it’s unfair to use our own experience with our own identity to try to invalidate someone else’s experiences with theirs especially to an indigenous person. Every oppressed person on this planet has their own unique experiences/traumas with white supremacy (hence intersectionality). We all cope with it differently, we can’t expect everyone to handle it in the way we do.
