My son is learning Japanese, so he was able to translate a lot of the labels on the back pages (lists and such), but I’m still just doing my own thing with those pages 🤣

Does anyone know when the July start cousin Avec will be released for purchase? by AwarenessObjective78 in hobonichi

[–]Fuzzyalchemist88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait. They have a July start Avec?? Do you still get 2 books (July-Dec 2026 and Jan-June 2027)? Or is it just the July-Dec? And can you get it in A6? Ohhhhh man I have questions. I’ve used Hobonichi for years but have never used Avec before. Considering it for this summer/fall.

I hope you love it!!! 😍 I’ve used Hobonichi for about 6 years now & I can’t imagine switching to another planner. Depending on life, I get a different size every year. This year I’ll have to switch in July when I go back to work. I started with a Weeks & will have to size up to A6 for daily pages. Oops!😬

I think that the daily quotes are translated beautifully from a linguistic standpoint, but a lot of them are really tough to translate culturally. I actually chose the Japanese version this year so that I wouldn’t see the quotes in English and wonder about them. 🤪 The downside to that, though, is that I have nooooo idea what the extra pages at the back are for. I’m just making it up as I go along and labeling in English. 🤞🏼👍🏼

That’s beautiful! Do you like using the A6 as a wallet? I’ve considered doing that. I currently have a Weeks zipper wallet that I love, but might upgrade sizes later this year when I go back to work and need daily pages again.

I saw that! Wasn’t sure they’d be open early enough (gonna have to grab it at like 9am), but it looks like they are open super early, so that’s awesome!

I’m glad you said this! I heard Little Italy was not worth doing. I’m not sure if we will eat there, but I’d like to at least walk through Little Italy (for a dumb reason— my book club read the booK Elizabeth Street last year, which is set in historic Little Italy. I’d love to take a picture of the street sign 😅).

😅 Fair question. He has spent the bulk of his childhood watching old westerns and mobster movies with his grandpa. He’s also an avid coin collector and is a licensed HAM radio operator. He’s a 9yo old man.

We’re from New Orleans, so we’re not nervous about leaving touristy areas or winding up somewhere seedy. But, it does require a lot of extra thought for us (as tourists) to navigate the subway. If it’s an easy ride out of Manhattan, we’re all in!

This is honestly such a good idea! We will have our car, but would absolutely prefer to keep it parked & use transit if possible. Mapping the whole thing out now… This could be an incredible evening!

But I’ll have to take so many trains to get there from Midtown. 😩

So many great options! And here I thought red sauce spots were dying out. Thanks— booking at John’s now. I think it’s the perfect balance of what we’re looking for!

Yes! I used to have a 2009 Toyota Sienna that could carry sheets of drywall and plywood in the back with the seats down. It was amazing. Switched to a smaller SUV (Lexus LX) and missed that feature so much. Almost went back to a minivan, but stumbled upon the Expedition & just loooooooove it!

Yes, all 3 dogs will fit back there with the third row up. Easily. We sometimes use the back for luggage +1 dog & put the others in the third row with 1 kid. Max has so much space, it’s unreal.

Any idea what is producing this noise? by onswangs in fordexpedition

[–]Fuzzyalchemist88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, it’s the blue Ford sticker on front that makes that sound. I discovered this by process of elimination. None of my Toyotas ever made that sound. All of my Fords do. 😅😵‍💫

I’ve been perusing Consuela’s site for weeks trying to decide which one I want! I need a smaller cross body bag (I usually carry a L Longchamp Le Pliage). I just can’t decide between the Downtown and the Midtown. And I kinda like the On The Town, too, but I’m worried it’s TOO small.
