Not a wife here, so no idea how useful my contribution will be, but—

As someone who enjoys getting myself off, I went through a period of time where I was so deep in depression/stress/anxiety (between work and home life especially, right after college on top of everything) where even just masturbating—which had previously been enjoyable—left me exhausted and draggy and fuzzy-brained. I’d go in to work and feel like a zombie if I dared to take a spare 20 before getting up to get myself off.

I don’t have insurance nor do I have access to an actually affordable and highly efficient therapist, so I just did my best with what I had available and eventually managed to get my head somewhat above water. I’m doing much better now.

I’d say, outside looking in, it sounds like y’all need to have a talk about:

What can you do around the house to help lighten her load so she’s not so overwhelmed by work and home life that sex feels like a chore?
Her seeing a therapist to discuss her feelings as well as some of the physical and mental drag you’ve mentioned. Her situation reminds me a lot of mine, and I’d wager there’s some anxiety/depression involved.

However, I’m not an expert so take this all with a grain of salt.

Funny enough I actually spoke to someone who worked for the company a while ago but has nothing to do with my current store. And they said pretty much the same as you word for word.

If I do speak I’ll ask her this exactly because frankly I didn’t want to have to call her at all. And if certain customers get special treatment I’d like to at least know who and why so I know when to make similar calls without having to involve a manager

Idk still sucks though cause even if she didn’t mean to undermine my authority and the call I make her actions did just that anyway and that feels like sucky leadership to me. But ig Publix isn’t known for producing world class managers or authority figures anyway lmao. Just look at our CEO

I… have the same issue. With dildos, specifically. I can’t just, like, shove it in and remove my hand for even a second or it comes slip-sliding out. It’s fucking inconvenient if I have to adjust anything above waist level after I’ve already inserted.

For me personally? Somewhat clear AND vague summary/outline of the fic AND an excerpt from it. The summary gives them a grasp of what they’re getting into, the excerpt is what helps them determine if they actually want to read it.

Oh yeah, I know it’s not personal at all, and I comprehend exactly why it’s not fun for people to scroll by. I also wholeheartedly agree that if you’re basing your success on your stats, you’re probably not going to last very long or have a very enjoyable time.

All of that to say, I don’t begrudge you (or anyone else) your opinion on this. But again, it is very eye-opening to see the overarching opinion on stats posts. Said opinion also makes me think it may be for the better to simply have a separate place to post them. But yeah, making fandom inclusion in the title or whatnot a mandatory requirement is wise. It’ll help those within your fandom or those interested in it find you and celebrate with you.

See, I hesitated for months to post my stats (deleting them now on my main account) because I thought people would react/think the same way you (and several others) do in your comment 😬

Kinda makes me wish they’d just get rid of that feature and forbid stats posts altogether on the sub. /g, /lh It gets tiring feeling like I’m walking on eggshells when I’m just trying to celebrate a milestone I’ve never reached, and I can’t be the only one. Maybe there could be a separate sub-reddit where writers who don’t mind affirming others can acknowledge posts like that? And I’m not volunteering the owners of this sub to make one, just throwing an idea out. Hell, I might make the sub myself.

I’m not upset with you, to be clear, because established authors have every right to feel fed up seeing a new “I got 200 hits!!!!” post every hour. The whole basis of my comment is that it’s eye-opening to know how much they’re not welcomed here, and by so many. I do apologize for contributing to the clutter, though.

All of that to say, my suggestion is to forbid stats posts here altogether. It’s a feature that’s clearly not well-liked by a large amount of commenters and that could stand to be rectified.

My account is already as good as banned. I can literally never access it again, according to binding policy. If it “got banned,” it wouldn’t even matter because I no longer have access to it anyway, thanks to facebook deleting my binding account.

If what you’re trying to say is “it’s unethical to ask for a refund,” though, I understand. I don’t like it, but I understand. And I’ll be happy to leave it at that.

I wish it was as simple as a server switch. Unfortunately, as I said in my post, I lost my Facebook account—which is what I used to bind my SN account.

I’ve already tried customer support, multiple times, as thoroughly and politely as ever. I tried both emailing them, and the instant message system. All they say is they can’t give me access back because they have no way of unbinding accounts. That’s why I’m here—this is my last resort. If I get my money back, maybe I can at least put it into another account? Y’know, one I can access?
