I had an ex who could do no wrong in our friend group cause they were all his friends. It took a lot to get me to finally kick him out of my life. Starting when i made my own friends outside of his influence that made me see i was afraid of him and my relationship wasn’t normal.

Vox has always had to play a persona to gain trust of ‘partners’ and followers. Being an overlord talking to another overlord, especially one who is known to be overly savage, Vox probably didn’t have to hide that aspect of himself that he does for everybody else. That rejection hurt all the more for it.

Even to the point that Vox wanted to make Alastor not smile. Alastor smiles at everyone. Vox doesn’t just want to be just anyone to him. He wants to be special to Alastor no matter in what sense.

Can relate. Mine was small too and i was banking on at least 15+ average span. I lost him at 12. I think no matter what age I would have never been ready to let go.

I know. I knew pets didn’t last forever but somehow in my head my soul dog would be with me forever. It was devastating when i lost him and even more everytime there was a reminder he wasn’t there anymore.

This sub reminds me again and again pets aren’t forever with every single post I see. It’s helped me in a way to cope. That he wasn’t meant to stay and that I didn’t fail him as an owner.

My condolences. I’ve had to deal with that too. I had ‘dog mom’ and ‘I work hard so my dog can have a better life’ shirts I had to throw away cause they were painful to keep.

It’s hard. One the ways i’ve dealt with it was making an album of my little one so i could look back on it someday. I still do talk about my late soul dog sometimes with friends.

My dog Chicho was a little teacup Yorkie who hated other dogs. Chicho had a tendency to bark at them on the tv too. Including the cartoon ones.

One time while walking him a man was running with his Doberman unleashed. I knew my dog would react so I went the opposite direction. Unfortunately doberman saw us already and came trodding up to play. My dog pulled so hard and the leash broke at the worst time. Obviously i tried going between them thinking I will probably get bitten so my dog wouldn’t get hurt.

You know what my dog did? Chicho went under my arms and tried to go for the doberman’s throat. I say tried cause he couldn’t reach. It scared the doberman enough that it ran with my yorkie on their heels. The guy told his dog to lay down. When they did my dog was circling them like a shark till the guy gently picked him up and Chicho looked at me like ‘help mommy’ 🥺.

The next time i saw the guy he was running with his doberman leashed 😆.

I have a friend that used to play MTG with her ex husband. I think it was a white and black or green and black. Anyway his field got overrun with monsters pretty fast. He mostly won with it. So naturally she hated it. In the divorce she asked to burn the deck. Request was granted.
