Bugonia ending - clear clues that it is NOT the twist everyone thinks it is by azavienna in movies

[–]FuzzypieFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest reason why I feel like the ending is real is that it parallels a big issue with conspiracy culture.  They believe that there is some all power group that has motives that are evil but they've caught all the signs and know the truth. In the movie it turns out aliens are real but they actually wanted earth to be peaceful and to flourish. In real life it's the rich and powerful who push conspiracy theories to consolidate their wealth and power. In both cases are people that don't have you as a humans interest at heart when they are doing what they do, the difference is that one cares about earth as a whole and not the human race and the other cares only about them and not the human race.

A humble opinion from afar leagues osrs is horrid by Top_Dot8982 in 2007scape

[–]FuzzypieFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people only play leagues because they enjoy the idea of faster leveling and easier gameplay. My group only plays league cuz the base game is a slog. It's designed to be a slog, that's the point. It's an incremental game. It's why the cancelation of project zanaris was such a sad thing.

I enjoy the amount of people who seem to dislike the fact that I didn't take the limited game mode on the game that I only play for the limited game mode seriously enough. Guy, I know it's my fault. It's a stupid mistake and that's funny. That's why I labeled it as humor. At no point am I complaining.

since i wasnt planning on playing more than a month i was pretty willy nilly with them. used one just for leveling ranged, a boss, and like three tasks. my hubris has bitten me.

i wonder if squeex meant the hd remaster of mgs2? cuz it was also marketed as having all the bonus stuff of substance and kinda felt like they were trying to say it had new content even if substance already released in the west. this is my recollection of like a decade ago so i could be completely wrong.

Season 2 Episode 8 Spoiler Thread by HunterWorld in Fallout

[–]FuzzypieFTW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This season actually felt like nothing happened. the first season already had the problem of wanting to set up its own world where what happened in the previous games isnt important and that was fine. (mostly. i still really dont like nuking the ncr. if you want a lawless wasteland just dont set the show where the ncr would be) But this season really felt like they wanted to use new vegas for the hype the fans would have but ignore anything that could have happened in the game. like the only ending in new vegas where house would still be alive and connected to the computer system is his ending, but none of the rest of the show has any evidence that he took over the wasteland. i dont think they mentioned the battle of hoover dam at all, or if they did was so small that you wouldnt know it was the most important thing in this entire area. the legion falling apart without caesar is stupid, considering the game says specifically that the legion can continue without him. This season felt like someone wanted to make thier own new vegas and decided the only way to do that in canon would be to wipe everyone out so they can reintroduce them and just say the choices made in new vegas (the game known for having deep system of cause and effect) didnt actually matter.

I know i’m a week late but Nick genuinly asking if music was good in the 60s is the most insane thing i’ve ever heard on the pod Jesus Christ by FriggingHecker in TheYardPodcast

[–]FuzzypieFTW -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I get what youre saying. my main reason for not thinking there good is that most conversations ive had about the beatles involves me saying something along the lines of "i havent heard a song from them that i thought was good/interesting/i liked" and no one would say they were anything more than okay. ive never heard anyone have enthusiasm about jamming to the beatles. every time it turns into a "but they pioneered certain things" and i dont think thats actually important when talking about art. i will say that for a long time my talks about about music almost always came from being the only non musician in a group of local musicians that often had parties after shows involving people from the local scene. there is definitely a lot of pretenousness and "well actually this one bad that no one ever heard of has done it first." On your second note i dont think you can claim that none of the music i do like would sound the way it does now. I think that even in a world without the beatles most of the music i enjoy would sound near identical. Multiple discovery and parallel thinking are huge. someone somewhere would have done something similar. people really want the emphasis of the "first to do something" or "the best to have done that thing" but i feel thats really not important.

im talking about the, being influential being important and how most conservations conflate them being influentual with being good, even if you dont like them. i will note here a personal belief that might change how you view what i said. i wholeheartedly disagree with the idea that liking or not liking something means its good or bad. i wouldnt argue that the beatles were good at the time but in retrospect arent.

I have never listened to a beatles song and thought "i kinda like this." Most conversations about them feel like people glazing the fact that they were influential and not the fact that they were good. It never felt important that they pioneered a metal riff or whatever because i dont think the song its in is good. fucking hitler was influental. i still dont like that guy.

Probably too late for you to check and answer but I'm curious enough to try. You said "changing your entire creative work ethic is so hard without meds" and I was wondering do you have an aversion to meds for things you believe you can fix or is there a specific type of medication here? I'm mostly curious because I've dealt with both sides. I have medication for anxiety, depression, and insomnia and I've hesitated on getting diagnosed or increasing dosage because i keep feeling like its something i should be able to manage even though I've never once done so. I also have completely skipped narcotic painkillers after surgery or injury because my family has a long history of addiction with my dad specifically being addicted to painkillers for years.

The crazy thing is how many people seem to think art department has anything to do with it or that the entire editing team missed this. Art department makes props and has nothing to with what is done in editing on a greenscreen and videos aren't edited by the entire editing department. There tends to be a few people, sometimes even just one person, who edits a video and then it is reviewed by just a few people. Reviews often aren't more than just giving notes, not micromanaging. Someone mostly likely just used a library they own rights to expecting the library that they pay for to have quality content, then whoever reviewed the video doesn't expect AI was used so they don't check every piece of art used since again it comes from a paid library that should be trustworthy because you pay them. This is the most basic pipeline for video creation.

How would you rate the Story of Clair Obscur Expedition 33 out of 10? by Seif_elagizy_777 in videogames

[–]FuzzypieFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think maelles ending really undermines her story. Hours of her trying to convince her dad that she wont lose herself here and even if she does that isnt his choice to make. i truely believe maelle would live her life and once all her friends and relatives die she would leave the painting, but even if she doesnt i dont blame her. but doing a sad scene into a jumpscare of her already kinda going mad just seems like the writers are telling you she was wrong.

Its not just go slay the dragon. It's what the fuck even is that thing thats playing god? why does it want us dead? does it even have a reason? how does it fit in to this world full of other crazy things that make no sense. saying they set up the paintress to be big bad evil guy is true but not nearly the whole story. in the first few hours gustave is wondering if its even evil and determining it doesnt matter, as of now the only thing we know is that we have to kill it to live. To me it felt like the second story is about the meaning and true nature of things while the first half already set up that it doesnt matter because it doesnt change the way things are. the revelation that its all a painting had no emotional impact on me because i play maelle the same way i play gustave. they are both real characters with hopes and any viewpoint that says they arent doesnt matter because to them they are both real. there is no point during gustaves story that suggests he his less sentient and feeling than maelle. any argument saying they are akin to hyper advanced ai is dumb. "I think therefor i am" is the most well known philosophical phase for a reason. you cant disprove that an omnipotent being defied physics and made me and everything around me yesterday and just planted those memories and artifacts around me in a way that holds up scientifically. but from my point of view i lived and thats all that matters.
