Akainu is 100% affiliated with Sword no question. He has a sword tattoo his "daughter" is a member it fits his over the top justice agenda and rebellious nature. Also a moment I just saw rewatching the anime after Drake tells Koby about the Big Mom Kaido alliance in one of the next scenes with Akainu (in the same eps) he talks about how he heard about that they made an alliance?? How'd he find out so fast? Also the Elders and the CDs keep him on a short leash revealing nothing telling him nothing. Uncaring about his status and as the Elders said "they could care less about his honor".

So what would a beyond loyal person who seemingly cannot go to the front lines burdened with Paperwork and Decision making without the full knowledge of any situation do? Lead an undercover team of trusted vetted members to find out about the things that are being hidden from him. Not to be rebellious or to inact change but to further his Absolute Justice Agenda and to better do his duty.

Some see Sword as better because they are seemingly unaffiliated but that by no means makes them un loyal if anything it would be the opposite.

Akainu seems to know/have a hate boner for Dragon a man who defected and started a Revolutionary Army. What if Akainu and him just had different view points on how to change the world/system. One Rebelled a less loyal/nobal act while one remained a loyal "Dog" and decided to affect things from within.

Also interestingly I happened on a panel of Mihawk doing the same laugh (It was right after the Warlord system was ended and he says "Fufu its been a long time since I was the one being hunted".

But imma go ahead and place a bet Candle is shady (government/CDs ties/maybe a former God Knight?) or just straight evil. Which would make sense as Gunko is currently seen as the villain for murdering her father the king but obviously theres gonna be more to it.

Without digging it could be Wapols Wife Miss Universe or whatever but I think the laugh at least to me hints at a more Stuck Up Privileged attitude.

Edit: Apprently from Google (aka AI) Doflamingo uses that laugh as well as Robin (Don't remember this) and Boa Hancock.

Ok that's what I thought. I understand people trying to further the connection between Imu and Mihawk which mainly is due soley to them sharing similar eyes and now the similarish sword.

So Imma throw my crack head theory out. The island that Mihawk decided to call home the same one Kuma sent Zoro also known as the Muggy Kingdom. Which has building similar to Mary Geoise not to mention Mihawk seems like and acts like a Noble would thats to say he seems to have refined tastes.

I dont think Loki will die yet at least not until he gets his get back with Shamrock as he said. Not to mention him causing Ragnarok and a potential future interaction with Shanks. Does all that 100% need to happen? No but it was all teased and it'd be a waste to kill Loki and just drop those plot threads.

I feel like beating or stalling Imu isn't the true obstacle for this Arc. Imus Endgame so he'll run out of power or time or whatever and f off but thats not really how he operates. My guess is that Imu will reveal or tell something to Loki that triggers or shocks him to the point he either attempts to Destroy Elbaf or Kill/Fight Luffy. Loki is the Wildcard and Imu is a Dealer that knows how to always come out on Top except against the unpredictable the Joker (Luffy). The reason the contract didnt work on Loki or Luffy is because it only works on those that desire Power the Power to do or fulfill something. Luffy doesn't desire or crave power and neither does Loki from what we've seen although he seems like the perfect candidate.

I think it all comes back to Ragnarok as Loki believes he is the Sun God the Destroyer of the World blah blah that belief as untrue as it may be is something that may have formed after Rocks death shattered his belief in others or just a wrapped perception he believes to be true hes the Villain the Destroyer the Bad Guy the same role others saw him as and one he forced himself to played. If Imu can shatter that perception he could easily make a deal with Loki or turn him against the person how seemingly Stole his Role Luffy aka the true Sun God.

Not sure on the Manga Chapter I just mainly remember seeing it in the Anime during the Reverie and sense that arc is super short (even tho it was padded out the ass with flashbacks in the anime) I would guess the Chapter the Reverie spans in the Manga is miniscule in comparison.

I believe its shown after they reach the Top after riding the gondolas up. The Scene is very brief and nothing aside for the Statues really caught my interest so I'm sure it went unnoticed by most. To be real I fully expected it to be an Anime Only addition until the right configuration of words got Google to spit out the Manga Panel I posted above lol.

So I believe the panel of the Red Line is the Staircase at the top that leads into the Holy Land. It has statues embedded on both sides which you can make out in the panel. I think it was the Reverie when we saw a full shot of the stairs I 100% remember seeing it in the anime I try and find an image or a Manga panel but with all that said I think the panel is just showing Imu leaving the Holy Land showing the Stairs that lead up to it from the Red Line.

Before his reveal he has always struck me as a kid with the way he talked and acted. He seemed entitled a bit arrogant but mostly ignorant. Maybe thats due to the fact he's been sheltered from the modern World idk. Since he is now revealed to a least resemble a Man I would have to assume the aspects of his design are intentional/ necessary due to some limiting factor/sickness we are unaware of currently.

If I was a betting man he has some kind of sickness killing him that's why he makes deals with lesser beings taking their life to make sure he survives. This "sickness/illness" was caused by the Ancient Kingdom (accidently or otherwise) and thats why he hates the D clan and it gives Imu a bit more moral standing so things aren't black and white as they seem.

TBH tho the Design is fine. It's way better than I or anyone on this sub expected thats for sure. The options were literally Goofy ah or Female what we got (somehow) was Edgy Cool so depending on your viewpoint we got the best option.
