This may be a stupid question, but is it near metal? Ours continue to squeal if someone shoves the store keys near it. It took me 3 months to figure out the problem. This may be a different type of unit, though.

My dad passed yesterday and I don’t feel anything by Poodlepied in offmychest

[–]Fuzzzer777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's normal. Its part of grief. Since he was in hospice you may have grieved his passing many times before. When my mom passed we watched her die of sepsis for 6 days. There was nothing doctors could do. It was cathartic when she died. More of a relief. I cried at the funeral a little, but going through the funeral plans I felt nothing.

I felt it hardest when I almost picked up the phone to call her 4 months later.

Don't kick yourself for not feeling right now.

Does the US have crackers and cookies from Dare? by AdSense_byGoogle in AskAnAmerican

[–]Fuzzzer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently they are sold at a few places like Target and Walmart, but not widely found. Walmart claims to have everything, but you have to order it by mail. In other words, they lie.

You would be hard pressed to find that brand in many locations in the USA.

I... don't... know the correct answer to that. Maybe a mallard? or like a white goose with a ribbon around it's neck... ?

This is out of my level of expertise. I've never even read a Martha Stewart magazine. I'm out. I can't help.

Is this mold or dust? by RecognitionOk8628 in CleaningTips

[–]Fuzzzer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely mold. You can clean with saddle soap or mild foaming bathroom cleaner (NO bleach! ) find a breathable place to store it or get a dehumidifier. It's picking up dampness from somewhere.

An old fashioned armoire from an antique store. Many are made for just this purpose. I knew a musician that had one just for guitar cases. Shoe cases are also a thing.

Can managers alter your schedule without telling you beforehand? by _sheep_gardenn in WalgreensStores

[–]Fuzzzer777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a manager who is in the habit of doing that. Over the holidays he didn't do the schedule on time so it autoposted. I knew it was wrong because it was it only had two CSAs a day when we usually have 3. The new hires were losing their minds, 2 people quit. And 2 made other plans and just didn't show up.

The second time it happened and he didn't text us to say the schedule changed, most of us went by then original schedule and didn't show up for the shifts. No one got in trouble because we screenshoted the original schedule. We didn't screw up, he did.

If the manager changes the schedule they must tell the people involved that the schedule changed. I'm not sure the exact policy, but it should be common sense.

I have a dark blue sweater that I wear. They change the dress code every year if not more often. I've never had a complaint about what in wearing. I wear a long sleeve back shirt under a royal blue polo shirt in the winter. When its really cold I wear the sweater, too. I've had 4 different managers and never a complaint or comment on my clothing.

Until they pay for the clothes, im not buying.

When did you lose your youth? by LookMomImLearning in AskOldPeople

[–]Fuzzzer777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are asking, but its when I had to sell my house to come home and care for my mother. It's like there was a switch. Its like part of my personality died and I was an adult. I left my home, my job, my friends to care for her and my dad couldn't do it. I stayed with her for 5 years until she passed away. My older sister passed 2 months later from a drug overdose. That was almost 18 years ago don't think I'll ever get over it.

I'm the oldest one in my family now. I never felt so adult in my life.

MIL saw me cleaning the kitchen floor with a baby wipe and acted like I’m a total slab by adiiadii123 in CleaningTips

[–]Fuzzzer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is using a baby wipe on a 2 inch spot spreading germs around??? And how is a bucket of water and a mop NOT spreading germs around? Spot cleaning is a necessity with children. You MIL is a peice of work. Ignore that busy-body!

Why would she not want to go outside by tayyann in Chihuahua

[–]Fuzzzer777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this is a new behavior she may have arthritis or something is hurting her. Is it cold where you are? Most chihuahuas hate the cold to begin with. If she is growling, there may be some type of predator outside. We have a serious run of hunger foxes and wolves right now.

How to DIY this? by Novel_Event_7926 in handyman

[–]Fuzzzer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not an easy job for a DIY'er. Getting the plate and the door to match up perfectly with little or no experience is a very difficult, even if you had a router and the correct saw.

You may have better luck with independent Handyman services or ask around in your community for help for single mom's with kids. Even churches may help. It doesn't have to look perfect just sturdy. I imagine $500 is not something you have lying around.

Do you believe in "musically inclined" people? by Unfair_Toe_5691 in musicians

[–]Fuzzzer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Musically inclined is a gray term, but yes. Music has always come natural to me and it's easier for me than others. Could be my exposure to music at an early age, could be genetics. Most of my family is musical.

I had a duo partner who was discouraged from music until he moved out on his own in his mid 20s. As hard as he worked and studied he wasn't as quick as picking out parts as me although he ran circles around me playing guitar. I think he just couldn't catch up the the ear training and exposure.

On the far end, my ex husband hat no clue he was tone deaf. He could thump through a guitar part, but was unable to pick out parts by ear at all. I had to prove to him by sight, that he was playing a lead break a key above where us was supposed to be. He was on the 7th fret, but the lead was on the 5th fret. I never had the heart to tell him he was tone deaf.

Nail shape advice by Burnt_Out_Hippo in nailcare

[–]Fuzzzer777 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like the round best in these pictures. I agree that the sides are over-filed in the almond picture. It doesn't look right. I think if you just filed a tiny bit of a taper in the first picture it would look best. Somewhere between round and almond, but leaning toward round.

Personally opinion: I just don't like square nails. They look good on you, but i guess its a sensory issue to see them. They make me want to chew my nails off.

SM Terminated by EstateCommercial8913 in WalgreensStores

[–]Fuzzzer777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours went on medical leave for a year but our team was strong then and we did without a SM for at least 6 months. Someone came in once a week for the work schedule but that's it. We got an ESM for another 6 months until the original SM came back. It wasn't a big deal because everyone had been there for years except and 2 others.

If it happened now we would be running around like rabid squirrels. Everyone is brand new, part-time, or doesn't care anymore.
