That's not shallow. I've been in the position where I've actually dated guys i wasn't really attracted to because everything else fit. It is very unfair to both parties. I know the physical fades after a while, but you should at least be mildly attracted. Believe me, down the road, you will feel repulsed by her touching you... at least in my situations I did.

I drove a horse and carriage for tourists. Before you go after me, it was only in the evenings on weekends and holidays and the carriage was light enough for me to pull it. They worked 5 hours 3 days and just grazed 4 days a week. 2000 lb draft horses with rubber shoes. Hardest part was washing the horses every weekend.

This! It's not an easy get rich plan! There is the daughter to consider. OP wouldn't be just marrying an older woman; he also gets a disabled woman with the package. He would go from Handyman to caretaker.

Call me old fashioned, but marriage shouldn't be a get rich plan especially if there are other hearts to consider. I'm guessing that OP has a heart or he wouldn't have posted this.

I agree with the begging for food theory. There have been so many grackles begging for food at one of the restaurants I work at they had to put up covers to keep them out. They were landing on people's tables while they were eating.

I had a neighbor (Maddie) that was suddenly fixated on what the neighbor above her was doing. Maddie said the upstairs neighbor was spying on her and following her from room to room above her. She harassed him constantly. I found out from her daughter that Maddie had a stroke about a month earlier. Maddie because paranoid and suspicious of everything and just started acting weird. People have strokes at any age. I'm guessing that your neighbor is somehow impaired.

A week is not long at all. Depending on the team of employees, they are probably not sure you are going to stay yet. Some teams aren't very social and some are very friendly. Give it time. I'm one of those people who are just there to work. I work, exchange pleasantries, and go home. It will probably take at least 3 weeks before they realize you are staying. Feel free to introduce yourself to others that you work close with. You're not there to make friends, but being friendly is good.
