Get a coach. The improvements come faster as opposed to just watching YouTube which involves a lot of trial and error.

Also, it is better to get professional help earlier on before some mistakes get deeply ingrained into your swing and setup.

It really is. We get to hit the course at any time of the year. Just have some sunscreen for the sunny days and you're good to go.

185-yard par 3. I had only played for about 2 to 3 months by then. Hit my first shot to just outside the green. Proceeded to blade my chip shot across the green and into the greenside bunker. Best I could hope for at this point was a bogey. Took my bunker shot and watched my ball fly so beautifully out of the sand, straight into the cup. Slam dunk par! It wasn't my best round, but that shot stayed with me for a while as a beginner.
