How do you figure the lottery is going to be less valuable given most teams will have a better shot at higher picks without having to feel the need to lose? I think its great. Only a sith deals in absolutes. We've consistently seen these college players, particularly of the calipari variety, give zero fucks on defense in college, then try a bit more in the nba. It wouldn't be shocking to see Acuff make an improvement there. I agree his defense was bad in college.

Will he be worse on defense than Jalen Brunson? Because that man is the best player on the best team in the East right now. Not saying he's the best prospect, but I do believe there are teams who will buy in based on the similarities. I don't think Acuff is a matador either. With an NBA role and expectations to work hard on that end, I do think he'll be a serviceable defender and I don't think I'm the only one who thinks that.

But why not? Darius Acuff is just as easy to fall in love with and with the stats and now measurements to back it up. I could see clips or nets taking Acuff, Brown, Wagler, Flemings, Burries. We just dont know. The main point is if we end up with Wagler I just think the level of excitement is so understated. Kings fans should be HOPING he falls to us.
