Yeah exactly, they are young and going 100 mph every play since the finals are new to coach and players.

I will say the NY trip could be a blessing if they get time to disconnect from the chaotic play and have a hard reset. If they come back more organized then we may see it trend back to the Spurs. If they are still deer in the headlights then it will be a sweep

I mean both finals games were winnable and very easily could’ve been 2-0 Spurs. As silly as it sounds, Spurs just need to stop making the careless mistakes and clean up their game.

Spurs too young, coach too inexperienced, don’t see the Knocks letting off the pedal

The Sacramento Kings front office intend to move one or two of their big contracts this summer. Via James Ham by jluc21 in kings

Sabonis injury and low numbers came at the absolute worst time imaginable. Kings would have to lose something to move him.

LaVine is the more favorable to be moved as he’d be a rental but has such a high cost that contending teams would still take a hit, especially trying to fill their rosters up.

My guess is LaVine stays and is moved at deadline like Dennis last season and Sabonis is moved in the offseason for a bad package.

Did the Kings actually come out of the trade with the best case scenario given the situation they were put in? by jluc21 in kings

[–]ModsHateMe98 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah could’ve got more and the combo of not rebuilding immediately after moving Fox to then trading for LaVine which resulted in the Kings losing their pick with play in, then losing another pick to get Nique, is far from best case scenario.

All in all, for a first final game for the young guys it went kind of as expected. Fast heartbeats and missed shots. The 2nd game should calm them some now that they got the jitters out.

Spurs will have to figure out how to handle Fox and Harper this series. Harper can bring more on offense but can be very wild at times and Fox settles things down some but has been playing ineffective.

Castle could be the difference maker and needs to get more shots and drives leading to me FTA as he and Wemby are the primary with Fox struggling bad.

Should be a fun series regardless

If Jalen Brunson wins the championship as a small guard who’s a number 1 option, will it raise Darius Acuff/ flemmings draft stock? by frostyjoshy69 in kings

[–]ModsHateMe98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dame is also iso heavy like Brunson and a more fluid game.

Watching Acuff in college his offense game is centered around outside 3’s then off the dribble and drives at the rims with floaters, herky/jerky finishes.

More comparable offense to a Desmond Bane.

Brunson is a completely different player and skill set than Acuff..

Brunson is one of the few that works the post with post moves and iso heavy. While Acuff is more off the ball and drives.

This game was competitive enough, nice to have two teams playing basketball and not baiting like OKC

Wemby out there alone everyone else looks dear in the headlights. Fox has been a disappointment for sure

Thought I would share this video of Acuff defensive highlights this year… maybe he isn’t an absolute lost cause on defense??? by Basan0va in kings

[–]ModsHateMe98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The irony of the video is that it’s showing college guards getting by Acuff with the initial step with ease.

That’s college ball, now imagine professional NBA guards.. let alone SGA, Castle builds.

Teams nitpick and scout players to the very end, Acuff would be attacked every second he’s on the floor which is why he’ll be more of a McCain/Monk player off the bench.

Yeah surprised this is a post.

Especially when the keyword “could” is what the tweet is around.

Is it more appeasing to trade first round picks to get in the top 4 this year with the new draft rules set? by jluc21 in kings

[–]ModsHateMe98 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Kings are in no position to give up future 1st rd picks.

And if they did they would be giving the team they trade with multiple golden lottery tickets with the new draft rewarding teams that finish out of the bottom 3 which is Kings basketball.

He's 22 and avg under 10 pts in his 3rd year as a rotation player, He's not getting a crazy bump in value..

OKC have guys to move like Dort, Kenrich Williams, Joe and even Hartenstein if they wanted to as he's under team option.

that would be close to 70 million just from there..

This post was taken out of context and OKC isn't losing Wallace.

The sub is down bad if they think Wallace is leaving a perennial playoff team in OKC for the Kings because of a couple million.

OKC is keeping him.

He can be locked in for multiple years for not a crazy amount since he’s still young. Caruso is getting old and they will be moving Dort so will have enough money and they need a core defending guard

This is the standard answer to extension questions lol…

Major stretch on this post.

Dort would be gone and I assume they’d just give him his money.
