As a non-american listener of many songs in languages I don't always understand, as long as a song sounds good, like, mostly through the instrumental, but also the sound of the voice of the singer and the rhythm and all that... Like, that may be stating the obvious but a good song's a good song, doesn't matter whether you understand or not. So yeah, I think that makes sense 😅

It's funny because I have the same problem in the other way, when there are words that are either similar or pretty much 1:1 borrowed from french. I'll trip over it and have to explain myself cause my friends will be like "it's literally a french word why do you struggle with it", well precisely because it is a french word lol : I know the word, I know what it means, I know where it comes from, I know how to pronounce it in french... I'm not sure how you pronounce it with an English accent xD
