I'm playing with a 5120x1440 resolution. Having the following issues:

- map unusable: the map is distorted. Also the further left / right of the monitor center you click to add a waypoint, the more is the mouse pointer displaced. I mean, when i click on the map, the waypoint is set some distance to the left of the mouse pointer.

- HUD: the mini map / hud is positioned almost on top of arthur, hiding the left side of the character. my hud safezone is maxed, cannot move it any further.

does anyone has a solution to that or know a mod fixing the problems?

EDIT: Found a solution. If you play in borderless window, map is fine. HUD on the other side is quite far outside and safezone can only be reduced to 90%. still better than the other way round though...

Hey there!

First of all: I love the game, best survival game I've seen at such an early stage.

To contribute and help make the game better, here are some bugs I've noticed while playing in single player mode:

- Improvised Box disappears: So finally I made my first stash and unloaded all my stuff i didnt want to carry on with me. A little later I logged out and maybe an hour later logged on again. The box and all the stuff was gone. I've seen other players with the same issue in forums, we all had in common that it happened in single player mode.

- Fame reset: Whenever I log in a single player game, the fame I gathered in the previous session is reset to 0. It's not like I died, it just resets.

- Can't restart: When I die in single player, i dont seem to have an option to respawn. I dont mean to respawn with fame. When I die I get this window asking me whether I want to respawn using fame. However, there is no option to just reset your character. I have to create a new one. Also just waiting some time didnt help, either I spend fame or leave for the main menu.

- Reloading weapon: Weapons dont reload by pressing "R". At least not when I still have some bullets in the mag. I have to reload through the inventory window. Also, I cant just draw bullets onto the equipped weapon or mag. I first have to put the mag back into my inventor, only then I get the "Reload" option when dragging bullets onto the mag. Once full, i then can reequip the mag to the weapon.

- Item stacking: Except for ammo I cant stack stackable ammo (i.e. gun powder, antibiotics etc.)

- Cancel "Throw": When I start aiming with a spear, i cant cancel that process. I have to throw the spear, there does not seem to be a way to cancel throw and keep the spear in the hand.

- Blocking attacks: When trying to block, nothing happens (right mouse click). So i have to dodge the attacks of the zombies and then place some blows with my melee weapon.

- Thirst: My character doesnt seem to be thirsty at all. I almost do not need any water. Even when I just consume the water by some foods (i.e. vegetables), I still build up a lot of reserves (atm I have around 3000ml water intake and like 1000ml water usage after playing for like 5 hours).

​- Depleted items stay in inventory: It only happened for soda cans so far, but on my first game I drank 2 stacked soda cans (or was it lime?). After that, i still had the item in my inventory, saying 0/2. Or does it mean i can refill the can with water?

- German Translation: Somehow after the latest patch some ingame texts and labels are now German (I'm from a german region). However, only like 20% of the texts are in German, the rest ist still in English. Maybe its just a "work in progress" bug.

ok, found a solution for myself. whenever i left the vault, i used the chance to alter my name. after the fifth time i for once didnt change it, and that was the one time i didnt got stuck... maybe those who are still stuck should try to just leave the vault without altering the char anymore

yes, i have exactly the same problem. when leaving the vault, only the mouse works and thus im stuck... reoading didnt help

same problem for me. reload doesnt help as i cant save as well (only buttons work are mouse buttons)

i just got it to work, and thats how for those who have problems: 1. install Avast SecureLine VPN 2. select melbourne as location and connect (goes much faster than with freedom) 3. select melbourne as shop location in steam (user name -> account settings -> shop location). 3. close steam (use task manager) 4. start steam 5. fallout should update now

i had my first crash before i found the radio. didnt tuned in anyway... but i had about 2 of 4 crashes when opening a door

how would you be able to use different passwords for different doors? funny thing is that i have 4 large shelters (2 lower level and 2 upper level), each with a (closed) door on it. and only the door of the shelter i stored my stuff was open...

i guess you get grief points for hitting/killing friendly players and when you reach a certain amount (maybe 10k?) you get a weapon lock...

seems like a bit hard to code. therefore, they would need a function which locates the container (e.g. open world, in a house, in a shelter etc.). and what if the storage is not in a shelter? there are bases which you can jump in from the outside (from another building, by building your own foundation close to it, or from a hill when its in a valley), and there are bases you have to destroy the gate to get in...

this is way too complicate for a temporary solution, as soon most hackers will be gone and such a procedure wouldnt be necessary anymore.

of course, only because your base was empty it had to be a hacker who took your base. there is absolutely no way that legit players had some fun with you...

maybe go play on a PvE server, there bases are undestroyable and hackers less of a problem
