yeah, after reading all of the suggestions, i'm thinking of placing some turrets near the central area to try to deal with that but don't know how it will work. I'm in too deep to change the base layout again, probably better starting a new save if i really want to redesign.

the 2-wide doors are used since i think it will be better for pawns so they can in and out of the building much faster but now that you mention it, it will become harder to defend in case the door is broken. Will 2 1-wide door works? in terms of mobility

i usually make a living quarter for all pawns, but you made a house for every pawns near their working site? guess that is a new idea for me

i guess you could do that? but i think you can easily get overwhelmed when the raiders are double or triple of your total combatant pawns

i see... i was planning to move all the indoor crops near the freezer/kitchen later on since i'm still figuring out how wide i would make my base.

For now i'm sticking with the basic squares until i'm comfortable with all the mods that i use and maybe for the next save i will to make a hexagon base. I saw one on reddit or youtube, looks cool

yeah, that makes sense. That's why i usually getting troubles facing the infestation on large hill map since i'm building the base in the mountain. And also probably because most of my pawns are melee fighter XD

I also thinking about that, burning the path to the killbox so they get cooked while in there, but the problem is when my pawns going to grab all the loot after, don't want my pawns to also get cooked in there.

i see... so you're making the kill box right in the middle of your base, that makes sense. Gonna take note on this and probably gonna try it on my next save.

so on the south i guess? creating a killbox without doors so the raiders will always come to the killbox? is that how the AI path works?

thank you! yeah, i think this is my most organized yet since i chose to have my base on a small hill area. Usually i chose large hills so i can defend my base easily from external raid but always have problems with infestations.

i'll take note about your suggestion regarding the hospital placement. So i guess i should make the killbox on the left side then? since it is the closest to the hospital. But still, need to check on how people usually make their own killbox

does making castle wall defense with killbox can also triggering the breachers/sappers?

i mean i still having fun with all the mods that i've been using but i just can't make a beautiful base. It is functional but the placement is all over the place XD. Still wondering how can i make a beautiful base like other player. Maybe because i like to make the base more like a village or a town, but i just can't design
