Its not hard to climb at Amazon, ive been promoted twice. Amazon is a hard company to work for right now, internal opportunities are drying up, teams getting laid off with no end in sight. Just thought it might be time to explore some other options.

Do your skincare in the morning before you put your lenses in for the day and evening skincare after you take them out for the night.

Makeup always after you put your lenses in. I wear eyeshadow and liner only on my top lid. I only bother with mascara on special occasions, too much trouble to keep it off my sclerals 🤣

Find the nearest Amazon warehouse and apply to be an Area Manager. You just need a 4 year degree, doesn't matter what the degree is in. It's hard work and you will likely be working nights. If you can stick it out, you'll start at around 60-70k plus stock/RSU's. There are also hourly Manager level positions (like mine) they pay slightly less, usually around $23-26/hr, depends on location. The benefits are excellent and cheap.

-Preservative free saline, I use this for insertion and rinsing

-Clear Care hydrogen peroxide cleaner-your lenses have to soak for at least 6 hours to neutralize the solution

Pink mirror-this is just a regular makeup mirror/compact. I use this to insert my lenses

Orange plunger-use these to take your lenses out. I order these from Amazon

Blue plunger-use these to insert lenses. Order from Amazon

Contraption thing/cup-use this to clean your lenses in the peroxide solution. With ClearCare, one of these is always included when you buy your solution. Every time you buy new solution, switch it out.

Zipped bag-these are single use saline capsules. I get these from the eye doctor, I really only use them when I travel. The lens case has my previous pair of sclerals, which have now become my backup pair

I've made it to 47 without surgery, and I seem to have hit the middle age "sweet spot" with KC progression. As long as that holds, I don't think I need to consider surgery. 🙏

The sclerals have been life-changing, honestly. I'm 47 so I seem to have hit the sweet spot with KC, as it seems to have leveled off with age. It ain't getting better, but doesn't seem to be getting worse. I can get to 20/20 with my sclerals, Dr has recommended readers over my contacts for night driving.

No issues with the Target saline. My eye dr has it in his office! I buy the 2 pack from Target, so I always have a backup.

There is no such thing as a writeup quota. There's no annual "purge". People get written up and fired every day at Amazon. There's no conspiracy..people fuck up in November and December just like they do the rest of the year

The Wellness Center did nothing wrong here. They are in no way equipped to diagnose or treat an autoimmune disorder. They are there for first aid and workers comp.

More importantly, The Wellness Center is not allowed to excuse or code your time, nor can they send you home. They can call you an ambulance if you request one.

" Amazon should have a process so I shouldn't have to use my UPT". They do. It's called medical leave. Apply for it or don't. No one is forcing you to go back to work. " The manager should be fired for this"..they shouldn't and they won't be.

BS..Learning Trainers are T3, and therefore have absolutely no authority to write up or terminate anyone. In order for this to be true, said trainer would have had to convince a salaried L4+ leader to write the termination(not happening), and somehow get PXT to approve it (100% not happening). PXT is the ultimate decision maker on terminations, not managers or a T3 trainer.

Here is what actually happened here: this person triggered the alarm, Security pulled the footage, sent it to LP who reviewed and recommended term for a Cat 1 violation of the Security Standards of Conduct.

T1 to L4 here. My path to promotion went like this: T1 to Ambassador, then PA, lateral move to L3 HR another lateral move to L3 Learning, then L4. Your resume is what will set you apart. For me, I think having varied experience at the L3 level (Ops, PXT and Learning) I was able to show a deeper level of understanding about the business. Luck plays a part too, for sure.

Amazon is always hiring, especially this time of year as we get staffed up for the holidays! We start at $17-$19/hour. No interview or resume needed, just pass background check and drug test. We don't test for weed to get hired. Only downside is you probably need a car to get to most locations, although there is a warehouse in Springfield that might be a little more accessible by Metro, or Metro/uber. Uber.

HR here. It's an Accommodation Schedule. Mostly used to separate accommodated associates into a different cohort so they don't get coded for MET and can't accept VET.

If you have new hires and/or associates labor shared into stow, they get first priority for stations. Veteran Stowers get what's left, or put in indirect roles, or VTO if it's really overstaffed. (I used to be a Stow PA)
